I had an AMAZING TIME! I was in town visiting my almost son in love for his birthday. My daughter picked Bangkok Station for the venue for his surprise party. The decor & vibe was truly authentic Asian inspired. It was a beautiful venue. My daughter had reservations for what we thought would be a private room but we were actually at a long table that sat 8-10 people in the front of the restaurant near the bar. Appetizers and entrees were ordered simultaneously for the table and everything was superb. Beautiful presentation and extremely flavorful! It took a little more time for the entrees to come which were brought out two at a time. I have gone to other restaurants that utilized more than one server or a larger serving tray & table to distribute entrees at one time to the entire table. But, in our case...we waited until everyone had their food before we ate. Unfortunately, the server missed my order which was the same as two other guests causing us to wait even longer. This was unfortunate since we'd already waited awhile & were extremely hungry after such a long work and travel day. The chef & the server apologized for the mishap. I was okay waiting and despite how many times I tried to encourage others at the table to eat, everyone refused until I had my meal. But, once we ALL had our food, the food definitely made up for it. I thoroughly enjoyed myself. Everything was beautiful! It was truly a memorable experience. I would've given a 5 star review but I couldn't due to the wait time, the mishandling of the entrees to accommodate a larger table and the server missing my order but I would LOVE to come back and give this place...
Read moreHad a class in the 550 Pharr Road building and I did not want to go far for lunch. Me and a few fellow classmates decided to have lunch at Bangkok Station. My first impression visually was soothing. The entrance gave you a nice introduction to the main area. The space was open and the tables were not clustered together. They have a large patio area but it was raining on this particular day; nonetheless, we enjoyed our meal in the simple decorative indoors dining area. I had the Pad Thai Chicken from the lunch menu. It was a decent price ($10) for lunch in this location. I have never had my Pad Thai served in an edible bowl, but I liked the twist. Another classmate ordered the Sweet & Sour Chicken and another order a tofu dish (can't remember the name). Everyone enjoyed their meal with no complaints. The customer service was adequate. They were only a few customers excluding my group during this time.
I don't normally comment on restrooms but I must say, I would like to have my bathroom made similar to theirs (with only only stall). I love the woodwork of the entire restaurant but particularly in the restroom. It made me connect with my country upbringing.
When turning into the driveway for 550 Pharr Road, make the first right and there is a parking lot and there is no charge for parking. There is also underground parking but I have not ventured into that area of parking.
I plan to take my husband here for a meal in the near future and hopefully he can bask in...
Read moreI may conclude that food is authentic, but there is more to the food business for one to go for quality time and, that is hospitality, which this restaurant lacks from all aspects. Earlier also when dining in this restaurant ,servers/managers pay deaf ears to your comments or any alterations you want to make. They will be rigid on their options, or even showcase poor speaking skills as if they don't understand. Their rates are exorbitant and quantity is less. Once we went with our friend and ordered 2 entrees as we had heavy snacks earlier and were craving for thai food they charged extra 3 dollars for rice and said that they don't give rice with the other entree and that is why we were asked to pay extra.
During pandemic every restaurant is offering curb side but these people flatly refused even though we confirmed before going but very rude. We saw just 2-3 tables occupied they were clearly not very busy. Website doesn't have any online ordering feature you have to go to some other site and they charge convenience fee. It is pathetic that these people don't want to learn from restaurants which are better and service very good like the cheesecake factory (every manager/location excellent), Tuk Tuk Thai restaurant (amazing Manager Simon), Olive garden... I can go on. BETTER HAVE BUSINESS ETHICS AND HOSPITALITY. If you are looking for something writen in the caps, better head to other thai...
