Handel's Homemade Ice Cream — Restaurant in Atlanta

Hello! My name is Tracy McCarron and I recently had the sweetest experience at your Buckhead, Georgia store. I am from Seattle and was in Buckhead to move my son there for his first post college job. My heart was breaking the night we said goodbye to him, and I came straight to your store for some ice cream. I was greeted by the sweetest girl who was beyond kind to us! She said she felt so bad because she was from Baltimore, and this was how her parents must’ve felt when she left. It was such a wonderful experience, made all the sweeter when we got to our hotel room and opened our bag of ice cream and found the cutest note from her! It said “we hope this ice cream cheers you up and brings a smile to your face”! I just wanna say that these small acts of kindness make the world a much better place! I have had a hankering for some ice cream because it’s been SOO hot but can’t handle the lunchtime traffic in Buckhead but I finally got over to Handel’s and am sooo glad I did! If you’re ready for FLAVORS they certainly have them but I was super pleased with the service I received at this location from Jay! I had just had HORRIBLE service at a takeout spot nearby and he MORE than made up for it! He was so awesome!! It can be really hard for me to decide and not only did he give me a couple of suggestions but he was PATIENT!!! You don’t get patience in Atlanta these days but he was also pretty fast which helps because I have a short lunch break and ice cream was a last min decision for me. I’m def coming back so I can take some home and enjoy it by the fire pit!! Thanks again for making this slower gal feel good about browsing your zillion flavors!!!...

Areal good flavour for almost all their homemade icecreams. I tried the caramel salt with chocolate chip and the New York style cheese cake. Even the small size scoops are a good quantity, so be careful when you place your orders. The vegan strawberry flavour too is good. The location of the parlour is such that anyone visiting Publix in the vicinity, a personal care parlour, the Marshall's closely or any of the restaurants around, get into the mood for the Icecream parlour. The location being a corner, the sitting provided outside, creates an enviornment for all in the evening. I could see the people with their toddlers and kids who equally enjoy the flavours of the Handel's Homemade Ice Creams.
