Wow. You have to try this place. It is newly opened, which usually means they're still working out the kinks. If that's the case, I certainly couldn't tell. Everything was top notch.
Let's start with the food. Amazing. I tried the bistec asada, carnitas, barbacoa, and birria barbacoa with consomme. All were great. The tortillas were soft and flavorful while still letting the fillings come to life in your mouth. The salsa rojo and verde were freshly made and added just the right punch. And the birria sauce had me savoring every little bite. Ended it with the flan that no kidding make me think I had died and gone to heaven.
The cocktail menu looked nice, but then I saw they had Pacifico and Victoria available in addition to a lot of other options and knew instantly these guys know what they're doing.
The place is super inviting - completely new, fresh modern, well designed space, comfortable lighting, and dark but warm colors. Everyone there was having a great time. Great place to come with friends or on a date.
Now I saved the best for last. The staff were all terrific. The owner also came by several times to ensure everything was perfect. But... I was sitting at the bar, so Nuri was taking care of me mostly. Dios mio where did they find this person. She took an already great experience and knocked it so far out of the park it was a sight to behold.
She was very welcoming as soon as I sat down, extending her hand, introducing herself, and asking my name. She went through the entire menu, explaining some things that weren't available yet because it was a soft opening. Her recommendations led me down the perfect path. She checked back often, always using my name, and with a warmth and openness that made you feel like you've been friends for years. And it was the same for everyone there, young or old, man or woman, in english or spanish.
I can't wait to come back as often as possible.
Sorry I didn't take photos. I was too busy enjoying the experience. Just go...
Read moreIf Cupid had a favorite restaurant, La Santa would definitely be it. This place is the total package—food, service, and atmosphere all had me feeling like I was on a romantic date with my taste buds… and my date (who was also impressed, of course).
Food: It was like every bite was a love letter to my stomach. The tacos? Forget about it—they were a perfect 10. The guac? If it were any smoother, it would be in a romance movie. We shared the mole and thought we might kiss each other… but we were too busy devouring the plate.
Service: The staff was so friendly, they made me feel like I was the only couple in the place, even though it was packed. They even gave us the “romantic special”—a free dessert, which was totally a plot twist that made my heart skip a beat (and my sugar levels rise). Shoutout to our server, who probably deserves a medal for handling my overly enthusiastic requests.
Atmosphere: Picture this: candlelit tables, the perfect playlist (not too cheesy, not too dramatic), and a vibe that makes you feel like you’re on a date in a secret love spot in the city. La Santa nailed the romance without the awkward candlelit dinner clichés. I felt like I was both in a cozy hideaway and at the best party of the year.
Would I recommend this place for a Valentine’s date? 1000% yes. La Santa has officially set the bar so high, I’ll be making reservations here for every anniversary. If you want to impress someone—or just treat yourself—La Santa is where love and tacos...

I recently visited La Santa, and it was an absolutely unforgettable experience. From the moment you step inside, you're greeted with a vibrant yet cozy atmosphere that effortlessly blends modern design with a touch of Latin charm. The energy is lively, but there's still an intimate feel, making it perfect for both casual dinners and special occasions.
The food was nothing short of spectacular. Every dish we tried was bursting with fresh flavors and expertly crafted.
Equally impressive were the cocktails. La Santa serves up some of the best craft cocktails I've had in Atlanta. The spicy margarita had the right amount of heat, paired with a smooth tequila that made it the perfect complement to the meal. Their signature sangria was another standout—refreshing, fruity, and not overly sweet.
Overall, La Santa combines incredible food, a lively but welcoming atmosphere, and top-notch drinks, making it a must-visit for anyone in Atlanta....
