Ms. Meda's Kitchen — Restaurant in Atlanta

Trying to support a black business and ended up being “Profiled” by Other black women , that I assumed were men. Dressed as women , with botched bodies & tons of makeup . Who I later found out was the “Owner” I was waiting for the man to bag my food up. A very masculine looking woman taps me on the shoulder & asks me to move so other people can order. After I sat in the parking lot for 20min for 2 orders of egg rolls & an impossible burger . That was no problem though, the people cooking were actually very nice & we laughed and had nice conversation. I had a $100 & they didn’t have change so he had to find change , which also was ok. But after being approached so aggressively I asked for a refund & the “ Owner “ became angry, & even went on to say “ That’s why you were over here trying to scrape up a dollar cause you didn’t have enough to pay for your food” . So that tells me her & her friends already were profiling me. Assuming I was scraping up money to buy food from a stand on the side of the street. Which was appalling, cause I was trying to make his job easier by trying to use correct change , cause the stand on the side of the street didn’t have change for $100. They became so irate about me asking for a refund that her friend jumped up in my face too. Like I said earlier there was a group of them she also had thug looking makes standing around too. One of them was actually a DJ who was playing the music he came from behind the dj table and acted as if they were going to gang up on me. It was horrible I wouldn’t recommend this place...

I am a new fan of Ms. Meda’s! Not only is the staff super friendly, location great, and food delicious… they bring the vibes!! I can always count on my walk between classes to be fueled by the music blasting from Ms. Meda’s Kitchen. I love their beef burger! It’s delicious. Next, I really want to try their catfish nugget stix and various exotic lemonades. Love having this little spot to stop at between classes and suggest you...
