The food is ok. I wouldn't say it's very flavorful (which is what I usually look for in Indian food). It's not blant. It's alright.
If you live on campus, it definitely saves you 2h of going to Patel Plaza (30min drive one way), which is where my favourite Indian restaurants are. So it's definitely a trade off.
It is a bit pricey for what it is. The classic combo (protein, sauce, rice, naan) is about $16 before tip.
Portion sizes are on the smaller side.
If you're craving Indian food, I'm not sure if Sankranti will do it for you since it's more of a fast food experience.
But I'm not saying it's bad. It has a purpose, certainly.
The customer service the employees provide definitely carries the restaurant. The staff is incredibly friendly and attentive to details. Which is especially impressive considering...
Indoors it's very hot! I think the AC is broken? I hope that gets fixed soon. I can't imagine how the employees must feel in that climate. Especially being in the kitchen 🥲 I'm honestly not sure how that's not violating some sort of...
Read moreSerious Cross-Contamination Issues – Not Safe for Those with Food Allergies If you have any food allergies—especially to nuts—please avoid this place. Despite the menu labeling certain items as “nut-free,” this is misleading. When asked, staff were unsure about the actual ingredients used and couldn't confirm allergen safety.
The establishment is poorly managed, with only two staff members handling everything, even during peak hours. Wait times are extremely long, and cross-contamination is a serious concern. Utensils and cooking vessels are often reused or mixed up between dishes, increasing the risk for anyone with dietary restrictions.
Given its proximity to Tech Square, many students and young children dine here. Greater responsibility, better training, and strict allergen protocols are urgently needed to ensure...

To start with , fantastic location. Pretty close to GTech and right next to few other shops …. Parking is difficult . We had to park few blocks away and pay for it .. They have very few seats indoor and few outdoors. Was very cold today and had to sit indoor.. only 4 families can sit in. Hope they can put more tables / chairs indoors …
Food was ok . For this location, getting Indian food was great but it was less Indian and more American food . Everything was sweet catering to locals . Veggie bowl was ok. We got 2 bowls and both tasted OK . The rice was a bit dry .. paneer was good . 10$ for a bowl wasn’t bad . Price wise it was cheaper than other big Indian restaurants. Good for students to have a bowl, once in a while . Overall average food and fantastic...
