La Oveja negra — Restaurant in Atlantic City

I visited the city and this restaurant. If you're looking to pay for a beautifully decorated place in the Mexican style, this is the spot. But if you're truly seeking good Mexican food and a pleasant family time, I recommend looking elsewhere. My husband and I arrived at 7 PM (there were only two tables of two people each and three waitresses). We ordered our food right away, but it wasn't served until 8:20 PM, and that was only because I kept asking about it. The waitress who served us only approached our table three times: to bring our drinks, to bring the food, and to bring the bill. I spent more time waiting for my food than I did eating it. And we only ordered two basic dishes: a Mexican paella (the rice was all mushy) and a grilled beef fillet. When we asked for hot sauces, they didn't even give us a spoon for the sauce. I don't know how this place has 4.5 stars; it honestly doesn't deserve even two. The food is bad, the staff is terrible. The only good things about this place are the decor and the jamaica water.

Estuve de visita en la ciudad y en este restaurante. Si buscas pagar por estar en un lugar muy bien decorado al estilo mexico es el indicado pero si lo que buscas es realmente comer una buena comida mexicana y pasar el rato familiar te recomiendo buscar otra opción. Llege a este lugar a las 7 de la noche con mi esposo y (únicamente estaban 2 mesas de 2 personas cada una y 3 meseras ) ordenamos la comida enseguida y nos la entregaron asta las 8:20 y fue por que estuve preguntando por mi comida, la mesera que nos atendio únicamente se acerco 3 veces a nuestra mesa a llevarnos las bebidas, llevar la comida y cobrar. Tarde mas tiempo en esperar mi comida que en terminarlar, y únicamente pedimos dos platillos basicos una paella mexicana (el arros estaba todo batido) y un filete de res asado cuando pedimos salsas picantes no nos dieron ni cuchara para la salsa. The cashier was pleasant. The decor was ok if you like the day of the dead theme in every square inch of the place. Prices are steep (I.e. $19-20 for a quesadilla, $32 for 3lbs of the saltiest buffalo wings. I’ve ever eaten. If you don’t have high blood pressure you will if you finish the food here. Honesty if you are paying for the aesthetic would definitely recommend but eating here absolutely not. Only ones in the restaurant food took over an hour. The meat was overall too salty. The tacos and food lacked flavor. Horrible experience and not only did we have to set the forks and spoons our self but they had the nerve to charge $40 tip already included after this disappointment of a family dinner.
