Our favorite Mexican on the Cape and a must-try in Hyannis. The prices have definitely gone up a lot over the years but the food is excellent. On this visit we had horchata, fish tacos and a steak torta. The horchata was sweet and creamy. The fish tacos are absolutely incredible with crispy fried fish, crunchy cabbage, fresh pico de gallo, and a flavorful sauce. The torta was a large portion layered with steak, cheese, beans, lettuce, tomato, mayo and jalapeños. We always stop here and highly recommend a visit.

I really liked this place. The bean dip and salsa they served first were wonderful! We ordered queso dip and that also was very good. I got the pick 3 combo. I love to pick what I want to make my own combo. I got an enchilada, tostada, and tamale. It came with rice and beans. My husband got the ground beef chimichanga. He said the beef didn't have a lot of flavor. They have Pepsi products. I liked that they are open until 10:00 pm. The staff was friendly and helpful. Very clean restaurant.

Stopped here a quick evening snack and had a great experience with street style tacos and nachos. Located right on the busy Hyannis Main Street with perfect street food vibes and outdoor seating, this is a must try Mexican food and it might even be better than the fine dining restaurants nearby. We tried veggie taco, fish tacos, and nachos. Everything tasted so delicious and made fresh with real ingredients. Variety of options for vegetarians.

This isn’t just dinner — it’s a full-blown Mexican fiesta with a side of pure joy.

If you find yourself anywhere near Cape Cod and don’t stop at Mariachi Loco, you’re doing your taste buds a disservice and your stomach a betrayal. Located right on Main Street in Hyannis, this place doesn’t just bring the heat — it brings the soul of Mexico straight to the Cape.

From the second you walk in, the energy grabs you like a mariachi trumpet solo: bold, bright, and impossible to ignore. The walls burst with color, the music is muy auténtico, and the vibe? Let’s just say you’re gonna want to stay awhile.

⸻

🍴 Best Dishes (and They All Slap):

🌮 Street Tacos (Al Pastor & Carnitas) – These are next-level. Flavor so rich, you’d think the meat had a passport. 🧀 Quesabirria Tacos – Crispy, cheesy, dunked in consomé like they mean business. 🥑 Fresh Guacamole – Made with love and lime. Creamy, chunky, perfectly seasoned. 🌯 Loco Burrito – This beast could legally count as emotional support. Loaded, saucy, unforgettable. 🍹 House Margaritas – Whether you get classic, mango, or spicy, just know you’ll be vibing by round two.

⸻

💡 Pro Tips from a Full-Belly Veteran:

✅ Come hungry — Portions are generous and the flavors are layered like telenovela drama. ✅ Ask for salsa verde — They don’t always advertise it, but it’s got kick and character. ✅ Start with a margarita flight — A flavorful way to pregame your food coma. ✅ Sit outside if the weather’s nice — great people-watching, better tacos. ✅ Bring friends — food this good is meant to be passed around (but not shared too much).

⸻

🌟 The Experience:

It’s family-run, heart-forward, and packed with authenticity. Service was fast, friendly, and full of smiles. You’re treated like mi familia from the moment you sit down. And honestly, you’ll leave full — but also a little emotionally attached.

⸻

🏁 Final Verdict:

Mariachi Loco isn’t just the best Mexican food on Cape Cod — it’s a destination. Come for the tacos, stay for the culture, and leave with a heart (and belly) full of flavor. A 10-star experience wrapped in a tortilla of excellence.

I really love this place! In fact it's the greatest and most authentic Mexican food on the street! I like them better than the two other restaurants on Main Street. In fact I probably wouldn't go to Mi Pueblo next door again. El Meriachi Loco also gives you a great portion of food, and I've never had bad food here. I always do takeout. I go through phases and sometimes would eat here multiple times a week. However, I would get rid of the printed menus if I were you. The prices are not the same. I was in shock the other night after ordering two seafood tacos for 15 dollars. They say to be 4.50 each on the menu. Seafood must be a little pricey at the moment, which is fine. They were delicious as always, and I'll...

This place has an amazing menu filled with authentic Mexican recipes, especially the delectable street foods that rotate throughout the year as seasonal foods come and go. Fresh and consistent are the best words I can use to describe the meals we have gotten here. on top of that the family who owns and runs the place is fantastic!

My favorites are the street tacos(All of them. All of them are equally delicious) and the chilaquiles. Their guacamole is made fresh, almost to order on a busy enough day, and they have a peaceful patio where, during the summer, you can eat and...
