The food here is heavenly. I am still in a happy-place food coma while writing this review. We were looking to finally go out to eat someplace amidst quarantine/COVID days and were craving Mexican. I called ahead and asked about the patio seating, which is a bit of a safer option for social distancing in my opinion. They said it was totally open and to swing by!
We came at 4pm on a Wednesday. The waiters were super chill and attentive (all in masks). Everything was clean and comfortable. Just a note (if you are being as safe as myself about COVID), the bathroom is a bit of a walk into the "main complex" that the restaurant is a part of, and there are no towels in there (it also requires a code to enter)... so maybe bring some hand sanitizing wipes or just paper towels for those runs, in general, if you plan to eat with your hands and want to wash them.
The food was fan-flipping-tastic. I was blown away. I can get picky about beans.... too much cheese, etc, when it comes to mexican food, and I was just INHALING food until I couldn't breathe. It was SO good. I was drooling WHILE completely full as I watched my husband finish his food.
We got the chicken quesadilla (which is huge), tortilla soup (which is huge), fajita burrito (which is huge), and the carnitas tacos (oh did I mention? ALSO HUGE). The portions are large, so unless you are there for the happy hour meal sizes (which are NOT happening during COVID - keep that in mind... all normal-entree sizes for now, which is understandable), then bet on really only getting yourself a single entree (or just take everything home and have a FABULOUS dinner). I really can't emphasize the taste of this food. I've never wanted to eat a second quesadilla so much. Fantastic food. Great service. Also good drinks:) I am never going anywhere else for Mexican food again. Huge thanks to German, our waiter, for also being great. He warned me about the portions.... he was right.... but it's fine:) I have some more fantastic food for later (worth it).

Read moreWhat a great find! Son and I were looking for a good Mexican Restaurant that was still open after 9pm. This place fit the bill since it was open late and received 4+ stars from reviewers. This place is beautifully and tastefully decorated. Ambiance is fun and a great place to hang out with friends and family. There were only three of us in the restaurant area and a few at the bar. We received great customer service throughout our meal. Our lovely server, June, is super friendly and helped us with our entree and dessert choices. She knew the menu very well and I appreciated that. The chips and salsa were fresh and tasty and they were quick to refill them. The highlight was meeting the co-owner, Enrique. We chatted for a few minutes and I told him I was craving for a deep fried ice cream but they didn’t have them on the menu. I pleaded to add it on their menu as it’s the very reason I go to Mexican restaurants besides the chips and salsa. He told me to come back tomorrow and he’ll make it especially for me. Wow! Really? He was dead serious. As we were eating our dessert, sopapitas, he brought out some newly fried hot churros and told us to try them on the house! He kept checking on us asking what we thought of our food choices. He even brought out a sample plate of an entree that he suggested I should try next time. Overall the experience was great, fun, and I felt like we were all best friends after our meal. Not only were the staff amazingly attentive and friendly but the food was outstanding and authentic. I hope to see more delicious entrees on the menu like seafood enchiladas(hint). I can’t wait to bring my entire family here. Five stars all the way! Thank you Amigos and Amigas for the...
Read moreThis restaurant seems very nice, nice outside seating, nice indoor dining area BUT the food that I had was a disappointment considering the price. I ordered the halibut street taco entree that came with rice and beans as well as chips n salsa. Chips n salsa were great! But everything else was below average. Now, being that my grandmother is Mexican and I know what real Mexican food is supposed to taste like, I can humbly say what I ordered was not up to the standards that I’m used to. In my 39 years of living I’ve NEVER had “Spanish rice” that had peas, carrots and CORN in it… It had ZERO flavor. The beans were pinto, had no cheese on them and looked questionable as the rice was. The tacos themselves, again were halibut and were decent but the tortillas were soggy, which btw only came with 1 tortilla for both tacos and both were soggy so I had to use a fork. It wasn’t bad but it wasn’t good either. And for $24 for 2 tacos and flavorless rice and beans clearly I made a mistake by coming in to try this restaurant. I was way too hungry to take any photos to prove my claims but I have no reason to lie. I love and know Mexican food very well and this place just wasn’t up to par for me personally. I guess the rich Bellevue citizens don’t care if they get charged $30 for below decent food but I sure do. I hope Cielo does some investigating on their chef’s and menu cuz MAN! Corn peas and carrots in Spanish rice is...
