I love gyros. When I visit cities, my first places to look for food are usually either something towards the Mediterranean or sushi. The service I marked as a three because they could use a little bit more perception to acknowledge the guests who just arrived and are kind of lost. There's two rooms to this place and they have to go through a hallway so there's a lot of stuff going on if it's busy. I ordered to go after waiting for about 5 minutes to flag someone down. But once they took my order they were cool and they recommended which pita sandwich I was interested in. I judge new restaurants if they have yours by their gyro sandwiches or shawarma.
As I was waiting for my food I was salivating looking at all the big dishes they were bringing out to all the tables and I was a little jealous that I didn't order one of those. But the portions looked extremely large so maybe that's a good thing LOL. I can't speak to the actual dining experience itself that some people Express their grievances on their reviews here and Google. But I will tell you for a to go order, I am a satisfied customer
This gyro hit it out of the park. It's a Lebanese style gyro. With the cuts and taste a little different from a Greek style gyro. This thing was balanced perfectly with the meat, sauce, tomatoes and onions. Usually you get places where they compensate for cheap quality, low quantity meat and then overload it with too much onions and sauce or something. This is great. Every bite I enjoyed in my hotel room. If you are in town for work, just want a good meal to take back to your room, this will hit the spot. Can't wait to come back to try to chicken shawarma. It was a hefty filling gyro and well worth the money. Just just over $17 I got the gyro with one of their house pita breads.
The stomach is satisfied. I will be back.
Edit. Have returned twice since. Food still great. Service needs work tho... Need to be more attentive to customers who need to leave or need basic follow up like refills or checking how the food is etc. Table next time last visit could tell they were visibly frustrated trying to get someone to come by. Finally when they did, they just dropped off the bill quickly then ran off when the credit card was clearly in their hand ready to pay from the portable CC reader.
As for me. No 2 minute follow up on how my food was. Vanished long enough asking if I needed a refill on my water... After I had already finished my meal. Could have used it 10 min before. I had to look over the wall a few times and saw the servers conversing a lot. One made eye contact then turned away pretending they didn't see me. Had to flag the greeter to get my server to close out. Longest lunch ever for a gyro and only 2 other tables in the section I sat at. Food...

I really wanted to give it a 5 star, but not all the food delivered. We did come in around 8:25 PM, when they close at 9:00 PM, so that may have affected things.
They bring bread and olives. The bread is freshly made in the Tanoor and it's really good. The olive is good, with added Zaatar.
We ordered a try for 2/3 people and it came with 3 sides. The Tabouleh wasn't zesty/lemony. The ingredients seemed fresh, but it lacked flavor. The Hummus was also low on flavor. The Halloumi Fries were actually good. Flavorful in a special way, a bit on the sweet side and not a large portion but worth trying.
The meat is where they shined. The beef and chicken were really well done. Juicy, cooked exactly medium, had plenty of flavor, and can be eaten by itself without any sauces. The rice was good, and the veggies were also good especially the zucchini and mushrooms.
The lemon mint was flat at the end of the day. The other juices were okay, but not worth it.
Overall, I'd recommend coming here for the main items and giving them a try. Especially if...

From the moment we walked in, we were greeted by the owner, who went out of his way to make us feel welcome—even taking the time to explain how to register my car for parking. The service was outstanding—friendly, attentive, and knowledgeable about the menu. Do note that this restaurant doesn’t serve alcohol, but we loved the variety of freshly made lemonades.
Every dish was a taste of the Mediterranean! The hummus was silky smooth, the falafel perfectly crispy, and the grilled kebabs tender and full of flavor. The freshly baked pita was the perfect complement to every bite. And to top it all off, the baklava was a sweet, flaky delight that melted in our mouths.
We ended our meal with a cup of authentic coffee, served in beautiful, ornate cups. It was rich, bold, and the perfect way to finish such a satisfying meal.
Simple, authentic, and absolutely delicious—Tanoor is a must-visit. Prices aren’t exactly low, but let’s be honest—where in Bellevue can you find inexpensive...
