Primo's Bellevue — Restaurant in Bellevue

The highlights of this place were the food and the live performance by Will! Thank you for coming by and taking song requests. I loved your performance! Although I wish the menu were larger, the dishes I ordered were both delicious.

Cocktails, however, have a lot of room for improvement: Generally unbalanced. I recommend using a jigger until they can create cocktails that are consistent, balanced, and enjoyable. Service speed was good. I loved the latte mug and saucer. super cute! The Espresso Martini is listed with Ketel One on the menu, but mine was made with Tito’s instead. If you’re substituting the base spirit, please let guests know. I noticed the switch while watching the drink being made, but nothing was mentioned. Unfortunately, I had to send it back to be remade with the correct spirit. Thank you for fixing that.

There were multiple managers and owners present, yet not a single one stopped by to ask how the experience was. Hospitality is about making guests feel welcomed and comfortable. Checking in with guests only takes 20 seconds. With over 10 years of their experience in the industry, I found this disappointing.

The bill was misleading. Two $18 cocktails + one $18 small plate + one $34 entrée = $88 subtotal, but the receipt showed $92 excluding tax and service charge. They also don’t provide an itemized receipt, which makes it harder to verify. On top of that, a 20% service charge is automatically included, with no mention of it on the menu, website, or from the staff. This feels deceptive.

I believe this place is a restaurant, but apparently they’re open till 2am on weekends? A little strange. Is this a club or a dive bar?

What is the concept/theme/vibe of this place supposed to be? Pacific Northwest? Classic American?

Between hidden fees, unannounced spirit substitutions, and a lack of genuine hospitality, my advice would be to tip the performers directly instead.

Just went to Primo’s French Fusion Cuisine in downtown Bellevue with my girlfriends and it was such a great experience! The vibe is classy but lively, perfect for date night or even a fun night out with friends. The piano guy was amazing, he sang, played, and even took our song requests, which made the night extra fun.

We ordered small bites, appetizers, entrées, and of course desserts. My favorite dish was the Chargrilled shrimp glazed with hot pepper, and the butcher’s cut steak with black pepper mushroom sauce was also a hit. I also love French petit fours for the dessert. Everything paired perfectly with cocktails and wine.

The service was wonderful, our server was super nice and kept checking in on us. Overall, it’s the kind of place that feels special but still fun....

Zero mention of a 20% surcharge as a service fee amongst other frustrating things. Very sneaky practice to not be told this. You get the bill at the end and you're stuck with it. It's very much on purpose. Wasn't happy at all. Prices are already high at this place but why not scrape more money.

Update: I got notification that what I wrote here is being hidden and clearly it was. I remember reading other people's disappointed experiences and they are not on here anymore. They have taken steps to hide all the bad reviews so that people can have a one-sided view. So unprofessional...
