When you walk into the elegant space of The Chocolat Bar, you'll be impressed with the length display cases and luxuriously crafted treats. It's reminiscent of the chocolate shops we've visited in Switzerland. The craftsmanship of the chocolates and the sparkling interior of the store are both remarkable. However, the downside of traveling to Europe and visiting the mother stores of Lindt, Läderach, Teuscher, and other famed Swiss chocolate makers is that our now standards are impossibly high. Don't get me wrong, we enjoyed everything we bought at The Chocolat Bar, including the various versions of chocolate toffee, the chocolate covered orange slices, and the exquisite truffles. But the taste didn't seem to match the appearance of either the product or the store. It's delicious and your family will certainly enjoy it. But we believe that much better chocolate can be had in this world.

Soy-free quality chocolate sold here! It was wonderful finding this amazing chocolate shop that had a wide selection of soy free options. The manager was super helpful. I came in and was pressed for time. I was able to pick out a prefilled gift box and a box of different chocolate barks. My daughter loved the caramel bar, and so did I. They had samples, too! The store layout and decore are aesthetically pleasing. It was a very efficient and enjoyable experience. I wish I had more time in the store. I'm trying to come back in 2 days to try the gelato. I'll let you know how it is if we return. It's definitely a must to check out if you love good quality chocolate.

This place is GREAT!

First off, allow me a moment here, I found out through the news that today is National Chocolate day. So I figured to treat my coworkers with chocolate. I could have gotten regular chocolate but today is the day to splurge a bit for chocolate, right?

So I had been by here several times with my trips to downtown and the local attractions. I knew that they were a higher quality of chocolate that normal store bought chocolates. Not to put down Hersheys or anyone else. But they actually MAKE their chocolate delectables there. And they have quite the selection of chocolates as well.

So I bought a dozen chocolates from them, one a truffle. Got a variety of milk and dark chocolates. So far so good.

Took them to work and surprised my coworkers with them. Two I specifically chose for my assistant manager. She took the truffle and bit into it and was immediately surprised and incredibly happy with it! She said that it was the best that she had ever had! I had one that was dark chocolate and peanut butter, much like a Reese’s. Super good.

I will definitely go back and I recommend them for anyone else looking for a higher end chocolate that has the advantage of...

Purchased items for Easter gifts and brought a friend from out of town - together we spent over $160. Ordered a latte and was told I would need to wait a few minutes because the barista was finishing up something. It turns out she was cleaning both the men’s and the women’s restroom. After 10 minutes of waiting I asked her if she was going to make me wait until she had cleaned both the men’s and women’s restroom she told me yes and that she wouldn’t stop because then if someone came in, they wouldn’t be able to use the restrooms. (There were two restrooms and no customers in the store) When I expressed my frustration with her prioritization of bathroom duties over customer service she argued and raised her voice. I walked out without my coffee after she continued to argue with me, talking over the top of me insisting she was right and I was wrong for not wanting to sit and wait for her to clean the bathrooms. She had no concept of common sense and insisted the bathrooms were more important. I will...

I tried a Fleur de Sel Caramel and a Milk Chocolate Butter Crunch Toffee.

Unfortunately, the Butter Crunch was a disappointment to me. I was looking forward to sinking my teeth into the first layer of buttery-crunchy goodness, then into luscious chocolate enrobed piece of buttery toffee. Instead, my heart sank as I tasted the "crunch" on the toffee. It seemed a bit stale, and the toffee was not as "buttery" as I expected. The milk chocolate was...well...milk chocolate. If I had to compare, I would rather purchase See's Candy or even Russell Stover. Sorry....

HOWEVER... The Fleur de Sel Caramel was FABULOUS! The salt blended nicely with the dark chocolate. The salt, I learned, is from France. It's texture is fine and the flavor is light, but defined. The salt naturally heightened the flavor of the dark chocolate, and the combination paired with the buttery caramel offered my tastebuds a delightful mouthful of flavor....
