My wife and I recently discovered this place while I was looking for Goth themed events in the Boise area. I was very excited to see there was a once a month Goth themed night at voodoo cellar. Both times we’ve gone have been pretty awesome and we look forward to many more Sunday nights on the dance floor. The service here is fantastic! Every server we’ve worked with has been really friendly, they speak up loud enough so we can hear over the music, and they seem to genuinely enjoy their jobs. I can tell the crew is treated well. They even have a cider on tap, which is good since I’ve got a gluten allergy so I can’t do beers. One a few times I can actually drink something on tap ha ha. The music has been wonderful! Every DJ we’ve listened to has a good variety of music With songs before, and I haven’t heard before that really fit the theme of the night. The DJ even took my request and played a song I’ve always wanted to dance to at a goth night. We really enjoyed coming and can’t wait for to come again.
Voodoo Cellar itself has a very nice, spooky atmosphere. There’s a coffin with a skeleton in it shortly after coming down the stairs. The place is dark, but lit up with a variety of lights, especially on the Dancefloor. There’s even some consoles and controllers and arcade machine. I would highly recommend anywhere in the Boise area Check out...
Read moreDrinks tasted good and were decently priced. Drinks are too high of alcohol content without saying they are. Had 2 drinks with a friend and we were already too drunk to go out drinking more and went home. We wanted to bar hop, but our night was ruined by those 2 drinks. The margaritas here are 14% and the peach mojito is 15%. I wish I would've known the alcohol content beforehand. The bartenders, including one of the owners, were also asking my female best friend very personal questions when I went to use the restroom. Bartenders also mentioned after we drank that they purposely make their drinks strong to get their customers even more drunk, so they can talk them into buying more drinks. I do not recommend going here if you plan on bar hopping or light drinking. Only come here if you want to get...
Read moreVooDoo Cellar is one of the most unique spots in Boise. The atmosphere is super moody, with an awesome layout and a haunted vibe, it makes for such a fun experience.
They've got an awesome beer selection, and they have fun activities throughout the week including movie nights on Tuesdays with free popcorn, comedy on Wednesdays, and beer pong on Thursdays (which I totally sucked at but had a blast playing!) I also enjoyed their video games, they've got a few different options and massive TVs.
The service at Voodoo was top-notch and everyone was super welcoming. I also love that this place is locally and family owned, especially since the owners are so incredible!
Stop in and go to their daily happy hour from 5-7pm and make sure you try their slushy drinks, they...
