Carb heavy burrito place that is excellent for extra energy boost during the day. Always wondered what the hype is behind the burritos here after seeing long lines of MGH employees during lunchtimes. Got the steak and chicken burrito and the shrimp burrito, and both were heavy on rice and beans. Although I opted for lettuce fillings, they were very few which resulted in a poor overall balance of the fillings. Nevertheless, if you need an extra carb boost for the day, this would be a great option. On the other hand, chips and guac were amazing and I really enjoyed the light consistency of the guac which which gave it a nice refreshing finish.

I just had a taco salad at Viva Burrito and it was the most amazing taco salad I have ever had! The atmosphere is great, the people here are extremely nice -- and I really enjoyed my overall experience at Viva Burrito. ALSO... the service is very fast. The price is very worth it. The quality is five-star food for sure! Some people look for excesses and reasons to try to complain -- but I must say that if you come here, you'll have nothing to complain about except that you haven't found it sooner. Highly recommend.

Decent food. Was really looking forward to having their burrito bowl with tortilla, but I think thats hard to do with takeout. Really will try to reconsider the visit and score with an in-person visit, but I think there are several places better than viva burrito - i havent tried something that was a real game-changer.

Wow, Viva burrito's food is as good as their decor from the outside is simple. SO good.

We passed it on the way to get some coffee, and then on the way back since we were hungry we stopped by here since I kinda felt like it would be good, on some random hunch. And heck, I was DEFINITELY right. They have a lot of burritos and quesadillas, and interesting varieties of both. I just had the steak and chicken burrito though, while my date had the chicken quesadilla.

My burrito was pretty darn big and filling, so I can't even imagine what the "large" ones would be like! But yeah the steak in it was so juicy, tender, and had a unique flavor to me, not like most places that just have hard crappy meat. The chicken was also good, and the salsa they put into it was great. They got my order exactly as I wanted it, which was good because I hate guacamole and sour cream. Meanwhile, the quesadilla was a bit crunchy on the outside as it should be and had good cheese, although I think a steak quesadilla would have been better.

They also DO take cards which is a nice change from the other really good mexican place that I know in...

This place is going down as far as service goes. I have eaten here many times in the past 5 yrs. I have a bad dairy allergens and in the past year or 2 they have added dairy to my food. I repeatedly have them repeat my order which says I am allergic and absolutely no dairy. They have put dairy on my food 3x in the past year. I decided to give them a break for some months.nwent in last week and waited behind someone ordering for 15 minutes to pick up my order. The person in front of me left without his order also. The person ordering changes her order many yimes. There was no ok net to take other orders. I asked for my order politely then was verbally accosted by the person and her daughter. I don't expect to be treated like this at any establishment After Lexington they called to apologise. And wanted me to come back for my order. Too little too late. All customers should be treated equally and with respect. Or could it be they were Spanish and I am black that they did nothing. Well I have had enough. NO...

I love this place... discovered (like many people) when I lived nearby. Food is fresh, tasty. The staff (and owner guy who is always there making sure everything is cool) is nice. I do the Bowls (big), with grilled chicken, and add mixed vegetables... or I get a salad (with grilled shrimp, or salmon). The steak and carnitas are awesome too. I should be getting the carnitas more, now that I think about it. Sweet and delicious. You can be light here, or you can rock it out and indulge. I have some food sensitivities, and they are very accommodating. Not expensive, five min walk from either Haymarket or North Station, clean and all good protocols during Covid. Way better than Anna's, IMHO (I think the proteins are a higher quality, and have more flavor). If you lived in Longfellow Place, you now miss it, so get it delivered. ...
