I was invited my my karaoke DJ friend Jimmy ice who is an awesome guy a great singer and a great friend! I never knew this place existed until he told me about it over a week ago! I had to check it out! The staff people were very nice here! Very enthusiastic crowds here! It wasn't real crowded in the beginning so we got to sing a ton of songs then it got busy or later! My experience there was awesome! Look forward to going back again! I still don't have the money to eat there yet so I'll settle for the coke! 😀 I was there again Friday Jimmy ice wasn't there another guy who was there who said he's Jimmy's boss I found out that's not even true! And he's cocky and arrogant on top of all that I won't be going back there anytime soon to sing and that's really a shame because Friday I was looking forward to going back there which I did and then I find this cocky arrogant DJ who is not Jimmy Ice! After I did the first song over there I knew I wasn't going to come back there anymore as long as this guy was going to be DJ and that's a shame because I love the staff people there extremely nice people! But because of their arrogant DJ I will not be coming back! It takes more than a really great sound system to be a really good karaoke DJ! It takes a person with a professional attitude as well and this guy didn't have it! And I won't be inviting any of my friends that sing over they're either as...
Read moreI found Lily’s Bar-Pizza-Patio on Monday, March 14 2022. I had just arrived in Boston for a two-night stay. This was actually my first overnight trip to Boston proper. I was staying at a hotel not far from the bar/restaurant and was looking for pizza. This was the closest place that was open on a Monday. It is a short walk from two Marriotts, a Hilton and the Boston Harbor Hotel to name a few.
This is not a dive bar but a restaurant with a nice bar, sort of an independent sports bar. I sat at the bar though there were plenty of tables and not many people that night. The food menu is not extensive but reasonable. They did not have wings which I thought was a bit strange for a bar in New England. I ordered Artisan Smoked Pepperoni Pizza and a glass of reisling. I watched sports news on multiple screens while waiting for my order. It was not very long.
The pizza was thin crust and very good. It had a tangy sauce and plenty of pepperoni. The German reisling was very good also. The bartender was pleasant and helpful. The atmosphere was nice for a drink, to eat, to hang out with friends. It would even be reasonable for a first date.
I would definitely eat there again and almost did after I extended my two-night trip to a...
Read moreDive on in! This quaint little dive bar is home to some of the most deliciously creative dishes I've had in the downtown Boston area. Came in around 8pm, wasn't looking for anything fancy, just a chill place to eat and this was perfect! It was surprisingly quiet, but not shocking for a Tuesday night. A small one page menu was more than enough to keep me debating on just how many pounds I wanted to pack on; From the buffalo chicken rangoons to the cauliflower pizza, everything sounded so amazing... and it was! Everything is pretty reasonably priced, with enough options for everyone to enjoy. Once again, I have to express how GOOD the good was! The ONLY thing stopping me from giving this place five stars was the service. For how quiet this place was, staff was not eager to help and spent a lot of time talking to each other while we waited for them. Don't let that stop you from giving them a shot, however. I would...
