Authentic Italian Cuisine with clean fresh ingredients! Nebo, along the beautiful Boston Greenway (great outdoor seating too), is more than just an Italian restaurant. It’s sophisticated, yet deeply familiar. From the bustling open kitchen to the friendly chatter, it’s like an invitation to a family dinner. The menu is a testament to the restaurant's celebrated sister-chef owners and a masterclass in classic Italian dishes passed down from their mom’s Puglia region of Italy. I can’t get enough of the amazing appetizers. We take the family style approach- ordering many- making sure everyone gets their favorites! These dishes are reminders of what my family ate growing up! We had the crispy yet creamy arancini, perfectly golden spheres of mushroom cheese risotto with a touch of chestnut honey glaze- (I asked for a bit of marinara on the side!!) The Timballo di Melanzana was outstanding; and our family favorite - the fritto misto-filled with perfectly cooked mix of calamari shrimp and smelts! Yet I couldn’t leave without tasting 1-2 pizzas (Tradizionale & the Gino) cooked to perfection! The “stand at attention” crispy crunchy thin crust- never soggy or limp!! Hands down the best pizza in all of Boston!! (Hint: buy a few extra to take them home for lunch!) Entrees: My husband had the classic Cioppino with tons of fresh fish in a light tomato base (don’t forget the side of amazing crunchy grilled homemade bruschetta) and I went with the fresh, house-made pasta - Spaghetti vongole! Delicious!!! Do NOT pass on dessert! The Spumoni Sundae will knock your socks off as will the espresso gelato! If you happen to go for lunch - hands down- order the Spuckies! Our service was excellent (Michael) attentive, happy and professional! A great night out!! Nebo is always home to me!

Ok so this place isn’t probably the best Italian restaurant in Boston but it’s not that bad either. I see why it has a total of 3.6 rating here. The best thing on the menu is probably the Tagliatelle Cappesante (squid ink pasta). It’s almost made to perfection, the pasta, the scallops are cooked very nicely and the sauce pairs really well! The only problem I had was with the seasoning. Everything needed more seasoning! The zucchini lasagna was a flop, probably not worth a try. It was missing cheese and the sauce was OK. I had to add salt and red crushed pepper to everything (but that’s just my preference). The appetizers were decent. Burrata with the bread was good, the calamari Fritto Misto was good (not the best I’ve had but good), the Arancini stuffed mushroom was not good. The deconstructed cannoli was alright, go to Mike’s instead for a good cannoli. There are so many great Italian restaurants in Boston in the North End, if you’re new and looking for a good spot, you should probably skip this place and go check out North End. BUT, if you’ve tried it all and are looking for something nearby in the area that’s pretty decent, this can be your spot. It’s just a little pricey though but it’s also Boston lol

We had a lovely evening at Nebo. Our waitress was super kind, and we were seated promptly for our reservation. I personally do not understand the comments about the food. The mentions about lack of flavor, no salt, etc seem to be coming from a vantage point of comparing this place to standard American restaurant. I’m a dual citizen of Italy, and I do see an authenticity to the food here at Nebo: simple flavors without oversalting and overseasoning. I despise restaurants that leave your knuckles swollen two hours later from all the sodium. You won’t have that here. The gluten free menu is absolutely outstanding for Celiacs. I got the rotini all’amatriciana and vitello Milanese. Lots of olive oil in the red sauce, which I love. The Caesar was appropriately dressed with a generous amount of shaved Parmesan and sardines. You see a Boston restaurant with 3.5 stars and think “jeez must be REAL bad.” I had been a number of years ago, and I even took pause before coming tonight, seeing the rating as of late. Just goes to show you. Glad I ignored it!

I rarely write reviews but this is it. We went there for a first time yesterday (7/25/25). I have celiac, I saw a lot of recommendations for that restaurant at find me gf app. We’ve got a Caesar Salad with prosciutto instead of anchovies, traditional pizza and Cristina pizza without corn. We were excited to try something new and unfortunately we left disappointed. Pizza didn’t taste good enough for its price (+$4 for each gf pizza , one was $24 and other was $22 on menu) , Caesar salad ($15) was not impressive either, and sauce was too sour, prosciutto tasted old and not good as well (+$11!). We asked our server to take salad away, because it didn’t taste good, when we asked for check we got billed $90 , including salad and prosciutto. We asked our server if it can be taken out of bill and he said “unfortunately you’ve ordered it , so you have to pay” you would think for first time customers they’d try to make the experience a bit better and more accommodating if you’re unhappy with the food. He did went to manager and “was able to take it off the bill”, but in general that’s not how it goes with food customer service. If customer doesn’t like what they’ve got - you offer refund or substitute. Very disappointed.

Tip of the iceberg was that then I decided to drink some water I found out that my glass had piece of food stuck inside of it :( idk if I’ll get over that experience to be honest. For that price food wasn’t good at all. Pizza crust was great but pizza dint have much taste to it. I can get same size (10in) pizza for $15 at Ernesto’s, or For Pizza (bigger size , more toppings and still under $28!) and it will be much more flavorful. Waste of money, imho.

To be short: food doesn’t taste good, prices are atrocious and it’s not clear on menu, utensils are not clean, not very good customer service (specifically our server , rest of...

From the moment we set foot inside Nebo we received a gracious welcome from the hosts, who made us feel at home. The atmosphere struck a balance, between cozy and sophisticated creating a dining experience.

The service was exceptional with the staff attending to our every need, with smiles. Now let's talk about the food – oh my it was simply marvelous! We started with their HOMEMADE (Yes I said homemade) grilled garlic bread that was absolutely heavenly. The taste surpassed all expectations. Then there was the Burrata cheese accompanied by their tomato jam – an explosion of flavors that left us utterly amazed. The jam was so delicious that we couldn't resist asking for two additional sides of it!

We had to resist the temptation to devour all of the bread and Burrata in one go because we knew there were dishes to come. I chose the Branzino, a dish bursting with flavors. My date went for the Gino pizza, which brought a delight to our palates (she actually ordered one to go as well!).

The house made sangria turned out to be a revelation – a medley of flavors that danced on our tongues. Feeling adventurous we decided to order a pitcher, after having one glass. Honestly, our experience, at Nebo was truly remarkable. The combination of food and impeccable service made it a rare gem. It's the kind of place where everything comes together – the flavors, the atmosphere, and the hosts – to create a dining experience. We left feeling content. Already planning our visit to explore more of their menu.

For those, in search of a dining spot that not only serves dishes but also offers exceptional service Nebo is an absolute treasure. Make sure you don't miss out on this journey – it's an adventure worth repeating time...
