The quality was not there and that was surprising seeing that it's in the financial district. This place is geared towards takeout, as they serve the food in takeout trays even when you dine in. The crispy duck was not something I'd order again, the chicken appeared processed or as if it came frozen and precut rather than fresh and cut on premisis, and the veggies were obviously canned. The duck was heavily battered and looked over fried, as the batter was cooked to a medium brown rather than a light golden brown. I was immediately disappointed with my choice. I learned a lesson in ordering - don't order duck from a takeout joint. The noodles were saturated in some sort of thick sauce that was not visually appealing. I thought maybe they were overcooked too, as the noodles were stuck together almost as one cohesive unit. The one thing they delivered on was the spice. It was a 3 chile rating - their highest level and it was very spicy. It was not a dish for those who are sensitive to spicy heat. As I enjoy my food with a good bit of heat I was ok with it. I also ordered something mango with chicken and coconut milk. That's when I saw the crinkle cut carrots - a telltale sign that they were canned. Also, the green beans appeared very uniform. Another sign of canned veg. The chicken pieces were thin and sort of wavy and dimpled. Not what you'd see from chicken cut from a fresh breast. Definitely processed. I did like the coconut milk, though. That was good. I wish the other components were on par with that because the dish would've been slamming. Another positive point was the woman who took my order. She seemed very sweet. The place did do a fair amount of business as I sat and methodically ate the mediocre fair (which may be a little generous description), so maybe they have some...
Read moreUnfortunately, one of the worst Thai food i recently had. I got pad see ew and it had nothing to do with the original meal except it was pretending to be one. I ordered after arriving in Boston so i was super hungry, which is when food usually tastes better than normally. Not the case. It raised a flag when the food came 2 min after i order. Too quick to prepare. Sauce watery, tasteless, no Chinese broccoli (just regular one), veggies totally raw / uncooked, chicken dry and bad smelling egg. All you get there for 14.45. They did not serve hot teas, so thumbs down as well for a Thai place. Food went to trash after couple bites, but i have bad aftertaste. Irresponsible cooking. Thai’s should be embarrassed. Sorry. *I had same meal in Bklyn, NYC last night for just about the same price, larger portion, no msg and could not get my chopsticks off the food until the...
Read moreThis place looks like it's setup for dine-in but they don't have a restroom you can use ("it's at the back of the kitchen. They are cooking now so you can't use it" was the response I was given) and they serve food in plastic containers, polystyrene plate and cups! (and I came in earth day of all days!)
Crispy tofu basil was way too sweet instead of having any heat/spice. Tiny portion of duck with the udon garlic noodles.
For anybody who's thinking stir fry is the healthy option, think again when your good is swimming in grease, and I bet my bottom dollar that don't use quality oil!
Oh, and there's a kid in here who is related to the restaurant playing stupid games on his phone with the volume cranked up. Lovely restaurant...
