BagelWorks — Restaurant in Bozeman

Not really sure why there’s so many negative reviews about this place. I’ve been going here for a while and every time I stop in the service is always great. I see a lot of reviews about the place being dirty but I think that’s just the nature of being in a place that’s not all shiny and white. Of course it’s going to look a little dingy and there’s going to be crumbs and what not in places. It’s a BAGEL place. By no means are they at all unsanitary. Every time I call in an order they’ve always been extremely kind. This place, obviously, does get busy. If you don’t want to wait, call in your order or dont go at a busy time. I’ve always had super quick service whenever I called in or stopped by when it’s not busy. The place is cold during the winter because their heating always breaks. It’s not the workers fault and unfortunately they ALSO have to deal with a cold shop but on hours on end. Take it up with the owner. This place is staffed with really friendly, hardworking, students and people. The atmosphere is warm and has plenty of spots to duck away in if you need to get work done. One thing I will say is that the one time I ordered an iced chai latte, it was pretty bad compared to other places but I also ended up accidentally dropping it all over the floor. One of the workers immediately came over with a mop and was super kind and reassuring because I was extremely embarrassed. They wouldn’t even let me help clean up MY mess haha! They were super nice. Someone PLEASE start a new bagel place in Bozeman because I hate having to come back here over and over. But sometimes I just need a quick (haha, jokes on me) bagel fix!

Don’t think I’ve EVER received an order that they got right…

They are way too optimistic about their estimated times. Which is not a big deal when it’s a few minutes, but when you say “ready in 5-10 minutes” and then it takes almost 40 minutes, it gets real old real fast. Maybe just… over estimate so customers are excited instead of pissed every time they leave your shop? This happens so often.

Or they’ll just forget about your order, like today. And they never offer to make things right…

OH! They also allow their employees to come to work in underwear! No one should be working a food service job wearing underwear. I don’t care if you’re a girl who thinks men’s boxers are trendy as shorts, that’s not appropriate.

Considering most people I know also have these same experiences, I know a new shop would thrive on the MANY fed-up Bagel Works customers.

After years of going here and expecting poor quality, I still somehow am shocked by the terrible terrible...

Stopped in this weekend to Grab a dozen bagels and some cream cheese. They were busy as expected on a Saturday. The Staff that assisted us were friendly enough, nothing spectacular but nice.

The bagels on the other hand were burnt and crunchy. I have grabbed bagels here a few times and never been blown away. The flavors are also very limited. The bagels we received today were not golden brown and chewy they were crunchy and dark brown on the top. Super disappointed. We didn't realize how overcooked they were until we were down the road.

The store itself is tight and never much open seating so it's much easier to just grab and go. Parking here is also a nightmare but understandably that's not their fault.

We paid $25.00 for a dozen bagels and a container of cream cheese so I would say their prices are fair. I love bagels and would love to give a glowing recommendation but they really need to focus on their...
