First off, the food was delicious, my sister and I both got the breakfast burrito and it was absolutely yummy! Portion was not too big or too small and the side of potatoes were cooked golden to perfection. Others in my party got eggs with toast and jam and they said the jam was really unique and good, eggs were just okay. If you are looking for a trendy place where you slightly overpay for your food and sit around loud entitled people, then this is the place for you! We chose it because it is named “The Farmer’s Daughter” but it completely failed to deliver on any small farm town feel. Instead it was like a cafe in San Diego where you might find a flock of influencers, if that is your thing, look no further. Personally I prefer more low key, rustic, and quiet breakfast establishments that don’t put avocado on everything. The price and ask for tip left me feeling like the service could have been better as well but it wasn’t terrible. The one real complaint I have is the floors looked like the scene out of Casper where the ghosts eat and all of the food ends up on the floor (and bench seats), it was gross and almost quelled my appetite. Again, the food was delicious but I think the restaurant deserves a different name to attract the appropriate clientele.
Update: After a reply to my original review (and reading the owners distaste for other poor reviews) I have decided to drop my review to a 2 star. I found the reply interesting because the owner offered a few reviewers with a poor experience some type of recourse/contact, this snobby attitude was felt at the restaurant and remains to be the reason I reviewed it as such. I did feel like my review was fair from my point of view and I still talked about how good the food was, oh well, won’t go back and...
Read moreTried to order online on Saturday 7/2, the website wasn’t taking orders. Tried to call in an order and they wouldn’t take a phone order because they were “super busy”. Walked to the restaurant from my hotel room and there was 1 person ordering, and they were not busy. However the staff was more concerned about stamping bags with their logo, than helping guests (minus 1 star). I placed my order for take out and came back in 10 minutes. The order was ready but when I got back to my room it was incorrect (minus 1 star), but the quality of food was good. On Monday evening 7/4, I stopped by the front desk to confirm that Farmers Daughter would be open & taking phone orders as we wanted to get breakfast before going to the airport. I was told yes. I called at 7:45AM, when the restaurant should have been opened by 7:30, and the phone went to voicemail for the hotel & restaurant. We walked down to the restaurant and was told by the front desk it was closed (minus 1 star). This was another frustration with the restaurant, if they were going to be closed, the front desk should have known and there should be a sign at least the day before. I know it’s a “holiday” but hotel services don’t usually close...
Read moreWe booked out this space for our rehearsal dinner in July 2023. When searching for locations to host our rehearsal, I couldn’t believe the $$$ it cost! When I reached out to Farmers Daughters for their space, it was so reasonably priced and they were very helpful in answering any questions! We wanted to keep our rehearsal super casual (finger foods, let everyone mingle, walk around, etc.) and this was the perfect space for that! I mainly worked with Kayla and she was so sweet and helpful with everything. We were able to bring in our own caterer (they were able to use the kitchen) and our own alcohol (we brought coolers for ice and to hold drinks). Our only hiccup was that while we were at our rehearsal at the venue, our caterer called saying that the front desk person had no idea what they were referring to when they mentioned they were catering our rehearsal dinner. It took a few phone calls to get resolved but was resolved in a timely manner before we got there. Overall, it was a wonderful space to host our rehearsal dinner and allowed us to mingle with all of our family vs. a formal dinner. I would highly recommend this space...
