If you have Celiac disease I would recommend this place 1000x over. When we were seated I asked about the Gfree menu. The hostess asked if it was a preference or an allergy. I was surprised and said allergy because i have Celiac disease. She brought a menu that had Gluten free on one side and Celiac on the other. It was crazy busy when we first got there, around 2pm, and Eric, our waiter, let us know it was going to be a couple of minutes while he got the other tables checked out.
He was great at explaining the difference between the menus and why. The Gluten free has a potential of cross contamination, like the chips are fried in the same oil as food containing Gluten. The item from the Celiac menu I was originally going to get was the Cobb salad however it was the only item not available, so I went with the cheese burger. He noticed my hesitation and suggested the pulled pork sandwich, saying it was a personal preference. I said OK ill give it a try and asked for no coleslaw. He suggested putting it on the side. I said sure but thinking I've not liked it in the 45 years I've been on the this earth but sure.
After ordering the manager came over and went over my allergy and made sure it was all notated properly WHICH I've never had happen, that's awesome tho! She asked what side I'd like and honestly this is my only complaint is the lack of Celiac side options. Honestly just a baked potato would have been an excellent option! I think she offered a side salad but only with a vinegarette dressing (not my thing), white rice, and asparagus. I went with the asparagus and while it wasn't bad it just seemed like an odd side.
They bring out our food and instantly my husband said you might make sure that's Gluten free because the kitchen didn't fully read the ticket because the slaw was piled on top of the pork. So I flagged down Eric who not only assured me it was definitely on the Gfree bun BUT instantly offered to take it back and have it remade. I declined and tried the slaw.... HOW HAVE I NEVER EATEN SLAW ON PULLED PORK BEFORE! He had been right on, by its self it's nothing to write home about BUT add it to their PP sandwich and OMG!
Over all the food was good, with only a couple miss steps! My husband had the steak sandwich and fries, while he was impressed with the sandwich he said there was WAY to much salt on the fries. This is saying something because my husband LOVES salt! š He didn't bring it to the waiters attention though. The restaurant was busy and for the most part pretty clean (FYI the lights in the ladies room needs cleaned. There were a lot of webs)
We will be back and can't wait to try other items but the pulled pork with coleslaw is going to be...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreOn a recent visit to Branson, my sister and I visited Guy Fieriās kitchen and bar on the landing. It was a cold rainy day but the need for fries had us going out. We have been to many of Guyās restaurants so knew the fry seasoning would be the top notch taste we loved. We were not disappointed in that to be sure. When we arrived we were offered immediate seating at the bar, which we took. The bartender, Dom, was very pleasant and took our orders very quickly. He turned out to be very entertaining as well as efficient. Our meal arrived quickly and was excellent. The chicken was cooked perfectly, it was crispy but still very moist. The fries were just as we remembered with the amazing spice and different textures to make them a pleasure to eat. We asked about the desert menu and while Dom was unsure about the availability of the cheesecake challenge he was quick to find out from the front of house manager, Richard. Richard told us that the dessert we were asking about was no longer available but they had another cheesecake option. He described it to us and frankly had our mouths watering, thinking about it. The dessert was delivered and as we were enjoying it, the GM, Craig, stopped as he was walking by and asked if we liked the cheesecake. I quickly told him how exceptional the texture and flavor of the cheesecake was but the star of the show was the blueberry compote. It was the perfect combination of sweet and tart. We visited with Craig for some time and found him to be both knowledgeable about the restaurant and the values that Guy has for the quality of the product in each of his establishments. We were pleasantly surprised to find he was the one that made the cheesecake as well. I have had the pleasure to eat at several of Guyās restaurants and have been impressed with each one. They all have a different atmosphere but the service and food is always 5 star!! I would like to thank Craig, Richard and Dom for the exceptional service we received. I know that I will be comparing all future dining experiences to this one. The personal touch that these busy men gave us will never...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreI had the pleasure of experiencing, "Guy Fieri's Branson Kitchen + Bar," this past weekend and I just have to sing their praises! We were celebrating my daughter's birthday and our waitress, Nikki, was an angel sent from Heaven! She was warm and welcoming... stopping at nothing to make our visit a memorable one. My daughter's food allergy is always in question and Richard was my point-guy, in our communications with the chef, (unnamed but valuable and greatly appreciated!)...gladly informing us of what my daughter could eat and gently breaking the news of what she couldn't. Unfortunately, none of the desserts were safe for her. I appreciated their honesty and unwillingness to take a chance with her health! However, the trio conspired to create something that my daughter could eat, while being serenaded with, "Happy Birthday," by staff turned singing chorus! The chef made waffles, topped with strawberries and whipped cream adorned with a lit birthday candle! Our food was delicious but the service was priceless! Whereas Nikki's feet already didn't touch the ground... after we left, she found us in the Landing to tell us that my daughter forgot her bag. She remembered which seat my daughter sat in and correctly surmised that it was hers. Nikki let us know that the hostess had it secured. When we went back to retrieve it, instead of just handing us the bag, the hostess politely asked us to describe it. I appreciated it because someone could've overheard the conversation and went and claimed the bag as their own. I can't remember her name but her actions left a lasting impression! I'll end this review with a quote by John Maxwell, "What you do speaks so loudly that I cannot hear what you say." What the staff did spoke volumes and has been chiseled into my muscle memory! Midwestern (Southern) Hospitality is still...
