Touscan's is a decent place. Food is a combo of traditional American with seafood options, exactly what would you expect from a bar in a beachtown. Shrimp cocktail was tasty and the server warned in advance that its a small appetizer, which is a good piece of attention. I would recommend to put cocktail sauce right into the glass, and get rid of extra plastic container that it came with. Speaking of service by the way, the lady was very nice and served everything in a matter of minutes. I didn't catch her name, and the check read man's name instead, but thank you anyways. Veggie burger was good too, only they do not offer sweet potato fries as a side option. Instead, I asked for a coleslaw and I enjoyed it as well. The bathrooms however leave much to be desired. I would recommend to pay attention to its cleaniness, even though I visited the place on Friday night, which I suppose is the peak time of the week. I also can't get why some appetizers cost as much as an entree. I would love to hear a reason to ask $13 for Mozarella sticks, Fried mushrooms or even caprese... Veggie burger was $12 by the way, while regular were in between 12 and 14, which is an ok price.

UPDATE: after I posted this the waitress came up to me at our table and started harassing me about my google review. I called her B and spoke to the owner. The owner Atif was FABULOUS he straightened everything out and is such a good man and owner. He assured us he would handle the problem waitress. I appreciate that very much. If you have a chance to talk to the owner he is very charming. Thank you Atif. Too bad "Cadence" was such a horrible waitress. Super rude and a HUGE attitude. Probably would have rated much higher if it hadnt been for her disgusting attitude. Food was what you would expect but way overpriced. Nachos was huge portion but bland. Shrimp pasta was bland and soggy. Even the mozzarella sticks lacked any taste... Karaoke was awesome but thats the only really good thing going... Cadence = 2 thumbs down..... yikes! So sad. Sorry you had to do your job Cadence and refill drinks...........Oh and she spilled salsa on me AND my mom because the bowls were way overfilled. Commom sense says dont bring overfilled bowls of salsa to a table. 2 bowls spilled on us... Get it together. See the bill 18% gratuity is INSANE.

Toucans was one of the only places open the night of the hurricane. We stopped in for a bite to eat. I would not consider the restaurant to be packed but they did have quite a few tables full. We were able to get in and get a table quickly. Our server did a pretty good job of handling our party of eight with all the other tables she had as well. We ordered quite a bit of food including apps and entrees and drinks. The wings were delicious. We ordered the garlic parm in the dry rub Caribbean. Both were flavored very well and both were pretty sizable portions. We did not have any complaints with the food or the drinks. The only reason I am rating this lower than a five is due to the prices. In my personal opinion, I believe the prices are a little bit high for the wings. 10 wings are 20 bucks. I think for that price there are better options around. But I will say that while everyone else was shutting down and not serving food, toucans had their doors open and welcomed us in. They also had a live band playing that was pretty good in the atmosphere was cool. Would definitely recommend.

THIS BAD REVIEW IS UNFORTUNATELY the direct result of BAD management and a HORRIBLE female bartender that didnt even SERVE US thinks She deserves a TIP just for being there our male bartender was great and earned his TIP hope this helps the OWNER see something he may not be told about we know how coverups hurt our business , Great place good food horrible late night management waited 15 minutes for first service while 3 bartenders were standing on the other side of bar the owner can check his CCT cameras and see for himself exactly what was the real issue we spent 230 on food and drinks for two people we were informed the credit card machine wouldn't process over 80 dollars OK no big deal so we received 3 separate charges signed all tabs and left off tip because I wanted to pay in Cash because of multi charges . A female bartender I will not give her name told my wife she would not SERVE HER again because she didn't see a TIP on the THREE SEPARATE CHARGES, That is BAD BUSINESS BAD MANAGEMENT and just down right reason to AVOID THIS PLACE I did leave a 100 dollars cash tip with the so called MANAGER to give to the self centered bartender with my wishes. Stay away from this place if you can help it until the Owner can get his ship in order its not hard to find good people to work for you its hard to keep Good people poor management helps keep bad people while the good ones get away and the owners suffer in their...

I want to start by saying the singers they had and the sax player were absolutely phenomenal. Now, the food was horrendous. My mom ordered Shrimp Po Boy and the shrimp was served dry with no sauce. We got Steamers as an appetizer and this was the worst dish on the planet. A lot of the shells were empty in which we asked for a new dish of steamers which also came back empty. They were extremely small and tasted weird. After trying the steamers I wanted to throw up in my socks and wear em. 78% sure I might get food poisoning and if I do, I’ll report back to this forum. The wings were actually good so I will give them that but after all the other catastrophic dishes that were served (slow by the way) that’s why they get 1 star. I think it’s funny that the owner has replied quite rudely to people calling them out on poor food and service. The reviews are correct by the way. We know everything is expensive now however, when people are paying through the nose for food they expect quality and what we got was worse than some of the food I was served in the Marine Corps. Fix it and be better. Don’t fight the facts. Crabbys has about the same price and what you get there is well...
