Hilton Hibiscus Spa — Local services in Clearwater

My wife and I visited the spa for a couples massage on October 24. Out initial impression of the facility was great…..very nice amenities. However our 80 minute couples massage experience was far from meeting expectations. While my experience was good, hers was far from that. Her masseuse left the services 3 separate occasions for 4-5 minutes each time because she was coughing. Not relaxing at all and interrupting our service that we were paying $500 for. Not to mention that her phone rang twice during the services as well. After the 3rd time of the masseuse leaving the room, my wife dismissed herself from the room because of the interruptions and did not even get to finish her massage. She got a 40 minute very un-relaxing service at a premium price. I am not knocking the fact the masseuse was not feeling well with allergies or sometime. Perfectly understandable to say “hey very sorry I wasn’t able to give you the service you deserved. But no that was not expressed. In fact we were charged full price minus a 10% discount for the “inconvenience” for an overall horrible experience. As a business owner in the service industry myself this is not acceptable. My wife had a Mani Pedi set up while there for business over the weekend. We had a Birthday party to tend to that same evening. She was told she could shower and go to the beach and was quite displeased with the service while she was there. Then when she showered for the dinner multiple nail polishes came off of her finger so she had to go to the dinner with missing nail polish. The business wanted her to come back in so they could redo the nails but since we had prior obligations we requested that they refund us the money for the service. They said they would refund if 90 dollars of the 125 dollar service. I was not pleased with this considering the poor service they did but accepted it as to not make a big deal of it. So while we were at the beach watching the boat races that we were there for the manager called. She proceeded to tell us that she was not refunding the 90 dollars and that she was only refunding 25 dollars. She then proceeded to get rude with us and told us that she didn't care about what happened with her nails after she left. When you spend over $1000 at a spa, you tend to expect more. My robe had burn marks from the dryer and was not at all luxurious. Half of the bottles of products available for my use in the locker room were completely empty. The drain in the steam shower was backed up, forcing me to turn off the water completely during my shower. The drains were also clogged in the Vichy Shower room. After my treatment was finished, I was greeted to an inch of water on the floor. Not very safe or sanitary. The body scrub was also a letdown, the backs of my legs weren't even done!
