This last Wednesday, I was very excited to go to cowboys for the first time. Dressed up n smilin. I had my bag checked as well as my ID, and went in and got a drink upstairs. After getting a beer I went to go look around and immediately got cornered by multiple staff who were rude and aggressive. One man was so close to me I couldn't even see it said staff on their shirt. They demanded my ID, and I stepped back into the corner to see it did say staff on his shirt. I gave it to them, but I protested. I asked why, and why they were being rude; and this older man told me to get out. I am 22, almost 23. I told him I wanted to finish my beer, and he shouldn't be kicking me out for no reason. I am of legal age. I let him know he was being an asshole very calmly, and this pissed this man off. He seemed to be under the influence. I was not yet. He snatched my drink out of my hands and made other staff walk me out. My friend followed. My friend also does security for places like this, they were protesting as well; asking questions. And the same aggressive staff member stepped up to my friend outside like he was ready to fight screaming in his face. We asked for the GM, we came a long way to see this place. And this was wrong. The rude older man said we could speak to their manager, and went back inside. The staff at the door let us know the manager isn't coming and said there was no point in waiting. Also let us know the asshole was his boss and he couldn't change anything and was very sorry. I am more than disappointed and sad at this experience. Disgusted almost. And I hope you choose staff that can deal with these things differently. At least not default aggressive. There was no reason to snatch my drink or kick me out. No reason to scream. We were calm, asking questions. There was no need for escalation. I recommend Blondie's or Mansions for I never had an experience like this there. And if they aren't open, Tony's and the 555 bars are my favorites. If you are in cowboys I guess let their staff mistreat you and they will let you stay. Don't ask why if they ask u for more than required or are rude to you. And sure as hell don't call an asshole an asshole. U will get basically assaulted, screamed at,...
Read moreI've been calling this night club the best karaoke bar in downtown Colorado Springs for years because it felt like home to me. Kudos to the bartender who works Saturday nights on the third floor (Dos, I believe he is) and Connor, the karaoke DJ. Now, how come this isn't 5 stars you may ask? The answer is that there have been so many ridiculous and rather unnecessary changes made, and some things that need to be changed yet haven't changed in terms of business practices. I tried to visit the club tonight, but was refused access by a very unprofessional door greeter (whose name I didn't get) due to my attire (basketball shorts and a regular t-shirt). I questioned, and the female standing next to him stated "tighter security" (she was wearing a tank top, which I believe is also against their "dress code"). I feel embarrassed by the way I was treated because they tend to let in many others who may be out of dress code, ESPECIALLY YOUNG FEMALES who appear to be under the legal drinking age (sleeveless, backless, low-rise, definitely revealing of rather private areas - more appropriate for the dance club across the street, NOT A COUNTRY MUSIC-THEMED ESTABLISHMENT). Should I also mention that they also tend to grant access to some people who already appear a bit intoxicated or under the influence of drugs? I can understand to a certain extent of tight security (no wepons, outside food or beverage, etc), but this is just a joke! Cowboys Nightclub, if you can see this and respond, PLEASE CHANGE YOUR WAYS AND MAKE A DRESS CODE THAT'S THE SAME FOR ALL MALE AND FEMALE PATRONS. Also, make sure your door greeters do their jobs properly by refusing access to those who appear to be under the influence of drugs or alcohol.
I would greatly appreciate if you could make the suggested changes above (as I really do want to rate your business full 5 stars). If not, Colorado Springs does have many other karaoke clubs around, and I'll be more than happy to name one of them as...
Read moreRespectfully, I'm a licensed Denver security guard, yall need to better train your security staff. Some guy tried to grab me the other night and security removed him, but didn't remove his friends who were also part of the problem. Let's just say I left the bar crying. 2. 3rd floor karaoke. Fire that chick and get a new person to run the soundboard. Why? My sister and I wanted to sing rearview town, I stoll at the desk for 10 minutes while this girl was on her phone. I kept doing everything to get her attention and when she finally looked up at me she told me I needed to stand infront of the computer to put in my request, she was really rude, kept singing over people while they were "performing" and just iverall acted like a 3 year old brat. My sister and I finally went up. She had my mic off for the first 30 second of the song, my sisters was on, we were doing a melody harmony duet, and the girl had the audacity to scream through her mic at the test to start singing. I pointed to my mic and and gave her the universal sound tech signal to raise my volume. Her face was red. 1.50 for a game of pool. Tables need to be realigned, fixed, new pool sticks and honestly I had to pick up one end of a table to get my que ball to roll down to the slot because it got stuck. 4. 26 dollars for 2 (well) tequila shots. Self explanatory. Hire the proper licensed staff to keep your property and everyone in it safe. Because your security honestly have the worst attitudes, very unhelpful and honestly if they are licensed, I'd revoke them right away. Either fire them or put them through actual training.
Long story short. Will not. Be coming back. Been here one time. And honestly I'd never come back, I'd never recommend this place to anyone, I'd never recommend anyone get a job here either, and I hope you guys realize that it's all your staff who are...
