We were in Colorado Springs for a day to visit Pikes Peak and Garden of Gods. In the morning we were looking for a place to have breakfast and we searched near us. In the downtown we decided to have breakfast at East Coast Deli. When we entered the deli, we were seated on the table and greeted by our server Candice with the menus and water. After exploring the menu, we decided to start with drinks first which included Hot Tea, Chocolate, Coffee and for food we ordered veg scramble with bagel and buffalo chicken wrap. Soon our server bought the drinks which were coffee, tea and hot chocolate. The coffee and tea were hot as well as freshly brewed. Hot chocolate was also delicious. Then we soon got our breakfast food which included vegetarian scramble along with bagel and cream cheese and buffalo chicken wrap. The breakfast was delicious and we loved the vegetarian scramble along with the wrap. The breakfast was amazing along with the great service.

Food was good. We grabbed some sandwiches after a day of exploring the springs. I got corned beef and pastrami and my boyfriend got just corned beef. The meat was delicious. He got waffle fries with his sandwich and I got potato salad. Both were really really good. They also had some watermelon lemonade and some strawberry pineapple lemonade that was sooo good. We are from the east coast so it was a nice little deli to grab lunch. Tons of meat on the sandwiches! 40 dollars for 2 sandwiches, sides and pickles. There are a few street parking spots in the front with some meters. They close early at 3 so get there for lunch or breakfast!

Fresh ingredients, superior service and perfect location about sum this little gem up! Outdoor patio great for downtown people watching. Onion rings are fantastic, light batter with plenty of onion flavor. Homemade ranch for dipping. The Coney island sandwich is a show stopper. Bursting with green chili flavor! Tuna salad wrap was good as well. Tuna was distributed a little unequal but overall it had plenty of tuna. Lots of flavor. Mimosa flights looked amazing though we skipped them this time.

Ordered coffee and orange juice. It took 10 minutes to arrive, and once it did, waitress stopped at an empty table, put the tray with our drinks on the empty table, then put her hands on her hips and talked to another waitress about stuff not related to our order. She was 3 feet away with our drinks, which we had already waited 10 minutes for, but would not deliver until I caught the eye of the other waitress and put my hands up as if to say "What the heck?" This caused the other waitress to come to her senses and walk away, prompting our waitress to FINALLY deliver the drinks. She said she brought "kid orange juice" for the 2 children with us. Not getting what the difference was, I asked if that meant they got less. She said, in an abrupt arrogant tone "It MEANS they get it for FREE". Well, nice, but can you say it with kindness? I called her out and told her the tone was not needed. We ordered, ate, and got 1 coffee refill (cups are small). We served ourselves coffee refills a few times, which I would rather not do. As I was leaving with 2 "to go" boxes (PLEASE consider green boxes and stop using Styrofoam) I asked another person behind counter for a bag to carry boxes in as we were walking. She said yes, did a few more things, got the bag in her hands, and starting talking to another staff member...yak, yak, yak. Meanwhile, rest of my party is outside waiting for me. I said "Can you interrupt your convo long enough to hand me the bag?" Good grief, were they all high? What caused so much distraction? Why was talking to a colleague more important than taking care of paying and tipping customers? I see other reviews mentioning service. Owners, please consider some...

This is one of our regular spots and I’m surprised it’s taken me this long to write a review! First of all, this place is such a gem food-wise. If you’re like me, you find Colorado, and especially Colo Spgs, to be kind of a wasteland when it comes to food. But not here! Everything we’ve ever had is spectacular. From the eggs Benny to the roast beef, it’s all GREAT! I highly suggest grabbing your faves by the pound to-go. Such as the rye bread or potato salad. The potato salad is BOMBBBBBB!

But here’s what inspired to me finally write a review after dozens of visits… our waitress, Stacy! She was our waitress the last few visits and she’s always spectacular. It looked like she was on her own today (looked like everybody else called out sick or something) and was understandably overwhelmed. But she never let it come out in a negative sense. She was on top of everything and was as warm and quick as she always has been. She really seems like such a kind-hearted person with a HIGH level of integrity. To the managers of ECD if you’re reading this; please give this lovely gal a raise! She really truly deserves high compensation for her skill, ethic and level service. It’s so hard to find such passionate and hard working employees these days so make sure to cherish her and keep her from getting snagged up by some competition bc lemme tell ya, I’d poach her from ya if I had a restaurant :D

Thank you Stacy and ECD for always giving us a fantastic experience and...

We have been going to East Coast Deli for years. With one exception, Maisie, who unfortunately no longer works there, the waitstaff is beyond hope. Our worst experience was years ago when our waitress actually quit and after waiting over an hour for food, we reordered. Yesterday's experience was close....our waitress unfortunately didn't quit, but it felt like she did. We have continued to go back because we enjoy the food, but we will be taking an extended break. We sat waiting 20 minutes for our drinks to arrive. We had requested a bagel to arrive before our breakfast. When we asked about the bagel after 30 minutes, she responded like she never heard we had ordered it. Our breakfasts arrived via a waitress in training who had to get a previously ordered side. Avocado had also been ordered initially, but failed to arrive until the breakfast was finished. Another bagel had been ordered to go. Upon arriving home, the bagel had been split and toasted. I never considered having to explain I wanted an untoasted bagel to go (never had to in years past). Our waitress never returned after we flagged her over to remind her about the first missing bagel until she dropped off our bill. She never returned to receive payment, so I took it up to the register to pay. Worst service ever continues to plague...
