Epic fail. Came in Christmas night with family party of 20, including 9 kids, three of whom have significant food allergies. Set themselves up to fail immediately by having only one server responsible for the entire group. At minimum, needed a server and a helper and probably two servers and two helpers. It took 20 minutes just to take the order. My wife and I had ordered an app to share and a bowl of soup. Purposefully, I indicated to bring it out as soon as it was ready. An hour later, they brought everything out together. Obviously, the kids and older adults were busy playing games during this time but still- an hour before the apps come out? The food quality was poor and as I told our server- could not have been colder if they set it outside for 20 minutes. The dip app was so old it had scummed over on the top. The soup was inedible so I set that aside and ate most of the sandwich and some of the app b/c at that point I was very hungry. We had discussions with the server and manager. Manager informed us she was working kitchen because they were slammed- however the entire 3 hours we were there there was literally only two other tables in the dining area. In fact, the other server spent most of the evening wondering around with nothing to do. There were people scattered throughout the bar area, but nothing major. They ended up comping my wife and I and mother-in-law, which was appreciated. They also offered everyone free desert but unfortunately, this was another failure. Only four took them up on it, and two of the orders were simply vanilla ice cream. It took so long that I asked my wife if we could leave, and she had to remind me that they had not brought her free desert out yet. To top it off, between the dinner and desert, we were solicited by a young man-guessing between 12-14 years old- selling something for his "sports team". These are almost always scams and my wife asked if he had a web site we could donate online. Of course not. This is obviously completely inappropriate to allow. Our server was in the area and it is difficult to believe someone from D&B did not know he was in there. He wasn't old enough to drive and didn't just walk in from outside- there are no neighborhoods around the Polaris Fashion Mall. Our server was a good guy and I felt sorry for him because there is no way he could have succeeded with the way they had the location staffed and the protocol he was forced to follow. Finally, two of the other male adults indicated that their food was no better for their families. A pretty ridiculous display of "service"....
Read moreWe went on a Thursday for an offer of unlimited wings and games for 19.99 which seemed like a truly amazing deal, but sadly I should have known anything that sounds to good to be true usually is. When we first arrive at the door and tell her that is what we want she directs us to the host stand to be seated in the restaurant. We didnt want to eat first we wanted to play then eat then play some more, but apparently this wasnt an option with this deal, we then find out that there are only 5 games in the entire place that you can play with this deal, so as previously stated the deal was too good to be true, but fortunately the hostess and then the bartender were very helpful in talking us out of our bad choice before we chose it, then guided us to a different deal which still combined food and games but without a limit on which games you can play. We ordered the avocado toast with Mexican street corn, which was absolutely fantastic, the pepperoni pretzel pull apart, which was a bit soggy but ok, philly cheese steak sliders with chicken fingers, which by volume of food was by far the best deal and tasted pretty good. Combined with these items were 20$ game cards. We were able to play games while the food was being prepared and then eat then play some more just as we had hoped to do. By far the best part of our experience however was the bartender who went above and beyond to make not only our experience the best it could be but even our son. He even gave our son these collectable cards which could be used to retrieve marvel and DC characters from one of the games. The only thing keeping this from a 5 star review was the deceptive "deal" for wings and games, but take that out of the equation and this would clearly have been a 5 star experience from the service to the food to the entertainment all...
Read moreMy son and I visit Dave and Busters monthly if not more, and generally come at lunch time and stay for several hours to play games together. I like the steak salad and he loves the all American burger. Today we went as we normally do arriving around 1:45pm. I went to a bar table and waited to be served while my son went ahead to begin playing with his charged band. At 10 after 2pm no one had been to our table. I went to the hostess stand and asked for a menu and asked if there was a server. She assured me someone would be with me shortly. The bartender brought Menus to the table and we ordered drinks. After a while the hostess brought our drinks to the table and no one returned. After being there for more than 1/2 hour, I advised my son would we would go somewhere else for lunch, and he went to say goodbye to someone he had been playing with. The hostess came back and asked if we were ready to order and I advised her we were all set, and that I would just pay for the drinks. She went to the bar advised the bartender, and the two young ladies proceeded to make rude remarks loud enough for me to hear. No one returned to the table. I went to power card station and advised the woman there that I just wanted to pay for the drinks and that we had been treated rudely and just wanted to leave. She offered to get a manager and I refused. As a member who loves your business and tips our servers VERY well when we visit, I was extremely disappointed. I really hope this is not the new level of service we should expect at this location. If so we will not...
