I took a family trip from Arizona, stopped at this cold stone and had a horrible experience, I apologize for having to describe this young lady instead of professionally giving her name, but when asked she refused to give her name, she stands about 5ft tall, African American young lady with brown hair carried to the top of her head with a bun but with her hair out if that makes any sense, she was very unpleasant to the gentleman before us and to us, each question asked she rolled her eyes, smacked her teeth and made it seem like anything asked of her was a burden to her day, I asked if I could have my ice cream order a certain way and she immediately caught what I would read as a attitude because I was requesting more of her but simply asking for what I wanted but a different way, I asked for a cone to be cracked on top of the ice cream and she was upset that I requested that, and the bad customer service went on from there, I haven’t had customer service this bad in years, no greeting when entering the store, no warm welcoming energy that made you want to come back, she was distasteful and corporate has been called, with hopes in a conversation being had with her about her terrible behavior, no hospitality, no care for people what’s so ever. Just terrible! God bless you young people who don’t care to have a good work ethic or show respect for people when you are working for someone else and...
Read moreWeather cannot deter a delicious ice 🍨 treat. Or the fresh smell of baking (not baked) wafflecones. It has to be a marketing strategy but the aroma is hard to resist. Like mint and chip? Try chocolate mint with Oreo pieces. Love cookies and cream? Try sweet cream or vanilla cream with Oreo pieces. Just a couple of favs. I can't remember if it's vegan or lactose friendly. However, I have a theory. If the lactose is high grade and fresh- I'm sure you'll be tolerant.
Isn't it pretty cool to choose your ice cream base then add one free topping or a nominal cost for additional toppings, to sweeten a smile. It's 60° and for San Diegans this is cold (blessed 🚫 spoiled). Yet, ice cream is good for you. Cold Stone is made on-site, so natural ice cream is better for you. Parking is unlikely an issue even in a hot day. The only challenge is the size. More Sweetness can lead to a tummyache and eyes are bigger than the yumminess.
At this location, you have ice cream, the fresh smelling bay and sunsets that are divine.
Masks are required. All toppings and ice cream are secure and contained. Even postmates and other delivery vendors can bring you this delightful creamery. Cash and other payments are accepted. Customer service fast, friendly, and...
Read moreMs. Arlette (sp)? definitely was the most beneficial and informative customer service representative myself and visually impaired Mother have ever experienced in Coronado.
It was Labor Day, must have been 20 customers surrounding us in the store. From the moment we walked in however, she was able not only to provide us with delicious new ice cream flavors we’ve never had before. She handled our order with what felt like such personal 1-on-1 care while at the same time had us in and out and sitting in the shade enjoying even more than what we came for.
I’m just writing this swiftly so excuse any blurpy bloops in my communication/writing (I’m multitasking & honestly the only thing I’m good at multitasking at is failing to complete two things at the same time).
I mostly just felt compelled to share with the world, if ever you’re wanting to enjoy a treat during your vacation on a busy weekend in such a glorious town such as Coronado. Just hope Arlette is the gal that’s going to be helping you. Ideally, anywhere.
Wow, I just reread this. Hopefully she’ll open a “how to say things in...
