If youāre looking for a bar that captures the quirky, laid-back spirit of Crested Butte, this spot is it. From the moment you step inside, youāre greeted with friendly smiles, strong pours, and a colorful atmosphere that feels like home.šļø
The bartenders here are absolute legendsāsuper welcoming, quick with service, and they make you feel like part of the family right away. Drinks are cold, well-made, and reasonably priced (bonus points for serving them with a heavy hand).š„
The dĆ©cor is half dive-bar, half mountain-town charmāthink Christmas lights, a moose head decked out in tinsel, and walls full of local memorabilia. Even the bathroom pep talk (āEverything will be just fine⦠just breatheā) keeps the vibe lighthearted and fun.š«
This isnāt some polished, pretentious placeāitās AUTHENTIC, buzzing with energy, and full of locals and travelers swapping stories over beers and whiskey. The kind of bar where you sit down for one drink and end up staying for the night.
Bottom line: If youāre in Crested Butte, skip the fancy stuff and come here. Great drinks, great people, and an atmosphere that screams...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreThe lack of empathy and kindness experienced at this place is unreal. On 032324 at 615 pm a group of friends went to visit here. We were are sober starting our evening. One of our friends has physical challenges that affect his ability to walk without a slight gait. As soon as we walked in, within seconds, the doorman told him " I am not dealing with this tonight you need to leave!". We were all confused and thought he was making a sick and inappropriate joke at the expense of our friend. Our friend does not drink! He repeated himself and told him to leave again. I told him he was not drunk and he said to leave without asking any questions. Terrible customers service on so many levels. Turning someone away because of a physical disability is unreal! I will never be back. We are locals to the area and will let everyone know what horrible and despicable customer service we received. The doorman should...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreTalk of the town is the absou worst bar in Crested Butte. Their owner is an absolutely discriminatory mad man, and I think we could mount a ADA case against him. My friend, who recently tore her ACL, slightly stumbled after being pushed, and Joel the owner kicked us out, despite not caring about very aggressively drunk men hitting on ally friends. When we tried to calmly explain her situation, he didn't care and kicked me out as well. This is absolutely ridiculous, and I think supporting such a corrupt and bigoted establishment is wrong. Please join me in boycotting Talk of the Town until Joel's discriminatory ways are no...
