My dining experience at Two Twelve in Crested Butte was nearly flawless, with just one minor setback. We began our meal with the bread and duck confit, and I must say, the duck confit was one of the best I’ve ever had. The bread and butter served alongside it were also delicious, setting a high standard for the rest of the meal. For the main course, we ordered the rack of elk and the bison bone-in steak. The rack of elk was absolutely incredible—perfectly cooked and paired with a huckleberry sauce that complemented the dish beautifully. It was a standout and one of the best elk dishes I’ve ever tasted. Unfortunately, the bison steak was the only disappointment of the evening. While the steak itself was cooked exceptionally well, with great tenderness and quality, it was overshadowed by an overpowering flavor that didn’t quite work. I suspect it might have been the capers or a sauce that clashed with the natural richness of the bison. Additionally, the steak lacked a proper sear—it was only lightly browned on the outside and didn’t have the crispy crust that a perfectly seared steak should have. Definitely needs a better sear. For such a great cut of meat, I’d recommend simplifying the preparation to let the bison shine on its own. Despite this one misstep, everything else about the meal was absolutely incredible. The service, ambiance, and overall quality of the food were top-notch. I would highly recommend Two Twelve, but with a suggestion to refine the bison dish. It’s the only reason I can’t give this restaurant a...

My husband and I were so happy we dined at Two Twelve for our elopement dinner! To start they poured us free champagne to help us celebrate and even gave us free dessert later on. (The peach cobbler was absolutely phenomenal) Our server Jackie was the absolute sweetest and just so down to earth :) she gave us a rundown on some items on the menu and served us with the best hospitality the whole time! We had the green leaf salad, the crispy potatoes and the king salmon for our entree. The flavor profiles for all were so unique, light and refreshing. I would definitely recommend! Apparently the salmon was also fresh caught and prepared at the restaurant and you could definitely taste the quality! Lastly we had a late reservation due to long day and even though we were the last ones to leave, we never felt rushed. Thank you Two Twelve for your great service, we will surely make it a habit to stop here every...

Ok. If you like places recommended by stefan from Saturday day night live, you'll love this place .While I I love Stefan, I wouldn't go to the crazy places he recommends. This is the snootiest restaurant I have ever been to. Micro muffins that they sold for $16 literally made me laugh. They were so tiny. The meal came with nothing, which is fine but to just get some rice on the side of your steak that was $72, add another $36 for rice. The dessert was supposed to be cobbler but it was literally just five small apple slices gelato next to it. Not very good either. If you're wealthy and really loved to go places that show you've got money, you'll probably like the tiny portions and not impressive food. But for the rest of us, we'd actually like to have a nice meal for our $250 single entree meal. Very nice wait...
