Tom's Pizza Shop — Restaurant in DeLand

First time visiting Tom’s pizza in Deland we choose the veggie pizza I. The large size we did not want the green pepper and asked to substitute it with another topping in its place the waitress was very blunt and said we don’t substitute toppings you can remove or pay for another topping. I found that to be very disappointing. We ordered the 10 piece chicken wings in garlic parmesan with our pizza in prepping the table they gave us two pizza cutters one of them was nasty dirty you had to ask for it to be exchanged. The wings came as we were eating them is was short one piece of chicken. We did not say anything the pizza came we had one piece boxed and ate the other half. The toppings were fresh overall. The taste was bland but at least the thin crust was not soggy. In closing our experience was mediocre at best the waitress left bill at the table we put up our card to pay for it the waitress never came back and left us hanging she actually went I. Break without saying anything we were stuck waiting until another employee noticed came over and asked to take the bill and apologized for our waitress leaving us there and going on break. Literally pulling off after ordering 6 cheese slices & fries. Took 25 minutes to get our food and it wasn’t busy. I also had to ask for my food after seeing a table that came after us get their food almost immediately. When I asked about our food they put it off on Jenn/Jim(couldn’t clearly hear the name) brought it up but didn’t say anything. That’s awful. I was literally outside with my children at the table waiting and the girl who took my order (Cadegene) went inside multiple times and could have seen my food(when I asked about it, it was right there where I could see inside from the order window). The fact that I stood there and not once did it cross her mind to check on my order let alone us said more than enough. Sucks bc I was actually anticipating coming back to try more things from the menu.

If Jenn/Jim is working boh it shouldn’t be her job to cook and tell foh when every order is ready. I’d hate to know what service is like on a busy day...

Keep in mind this review is not about their service. I am sad to make this review but i feel like it should be known. My co worker and I decided to try toms (i had it a few years back and was not impressed by the food) so i ordered wings, french frys, bread sticks, and 2 slices of pizza.
