Horrible Service, Bad Food, and mediocre beer.
I was happy another brewery took over this space after Breckenridge moved to their new location. However, I was unbelievably disappointed with just about everything about my visit.
First, it was a Saturday evening and the place was medium busy. There were several open tables but the first thing the waitress says to us is that she's slammed and behind. Um, the place is not that big and was not even full, how could you consider this "slammed"??? Then, when we could finally have her attention to order, she was condescending and rude.
We ended up ordering the sampler appetizer to start and check out the BBQ. First, my chicken wings were cold, practically ICE cold! Guess they just pulled them out of the fridge and felt it was not even necessary to pretend to heat them up. The ribs were super charred, which I can like, but resulted in them being totally dried out. We had planned to order dinner but after the poor appetizer and the lackluster beer, it was time to go and enjoy our evening someplace better.
Then there is the Beer. I have been to over 100 craft breweries in Colorado alone. So I was excited to try Crazy Mountain's beers as I have not had a chance to visit their original Edwards location. We got a flight to sample a few, before selecting a beer, and were just underwhelmed by all of them. None were interesting, memorable, or unique. I feel like I've basically had all these at other breweries.
At 0 for 3, we for sure will not...
Read moreWow. What happened to this brewery? They used to make my favorite beer. They had the best barleywine in the world. And at their brewery, they had these amazing small batch brews that were cask aged favorites, or a new take on a classic offering. But now? 5 beers on tap. And what are they? A Lager. Boring. An ESB and an Amber, a bit redundant. An IPA, sure. And a nitro stout. Well, that's something you can't most places at least. I'll take one! And it's horrible. I don't know who's responsible for the NO2 on this tap, but they don't know their job terribly well. Open a can of Guinness, and you'll get a lower quality nitro stout... it's delicious, but it's out of a can. So it's not expected to amaze. But an on-tap nitro? They should. This one is simply without carbonation. Gross. It does not have any body, it's flat, it's incredibly uninspired. What happened to this brewery?!?! You guys used to be so inventive, creative, CRAZY brewers. What's this boring nonsense you have going on now? I'm so bummed. If it's new ownership, if it's a new direction you're taking, then change your name. You aren't even close to what the name Crazy Mountain Brewing used to be about. 0 stars man....
Read moreI came here to see a friend's band play, but had heard about this place and had been wanting to visit, so perfect coincidence. Service was amazing. He told me his name, but I couldn't hear it. Let's just call him Silver Fox ;) I had researched their drink menu prior to my visit, and 2 out of three were available. Every choice was great, and prices were beyond reasonable. They had Jarritos and chip options for my tween, so that was an added bonus. If this place offered food, it would be even better, but I like that they partner with food trucks. Love seeing businesses support each other. They had board games to play. My daughter chose Uno, and we had a great soundtrack to six hands. I asked Silver Fox about NY style pizza recommendations for after, and he led us in the right direction. Went for pizza, then walked back to my friend's car parked in front of the brewery. Silver Fox came outside and reuinted my daughter with her kitty on a keychain. It had broken, but none of us noticed, except him. What a kind gesture. They don't make people or places like this anymore. ...
