Ichigo Matcha — Restaurant in Denver

One of their employees was smoking a cigarette right beside the kiosk. I couldn't believe it. It was so bad I couldn't breathe. Not only is is 16th Street suppose to be smoke-free, they were smoking within 25 feet of an entrance (the building that the kiosk is in front of) which is illegal, as well as smoking right beside their own kiosk where the smoke was going right inside their kiosk (their side door was wide open right where she was smoking), and exposing everyone else around - the other employee working in the kiosk who took my order (OSHA anyone if this was a large corporation), their customers, and everyone else walking on 16th street - involuntarily exposing them to deadly toxins is just disgusting. I couldn't breathe and was forced to sit there and breathe all of that while I was waiting for my order. If I had seen beforehand that it was the employee smoking I would have never stopped and placed my order and because of this encounter won't be back.

Additional background: Went to order and try this place out. While approaching the kiosk, a very strong smell of someone smoking (cigarette) was just horrible and got worse the closer I got to the kiosk, but just assumed it was someone somewhere smoking on 16th Street - even though they're not supposed to. I placed my order all the while trying not to cough. After I placed the order the smoke was just continuing horribly to the point I looked to find out where it was coming from and was shocked to find that it was one of their employees smoking right there beside the kiosk and their wide open door with smoke going right through it and through the open window where you place the order and the whole surrounding area was just filled with smoke so you couldn't go anywhere to escape it while you waited for the order. And if I were the building the kiosk is right next to, I would be pissed as the smoke was going into and up their building as well ..

Update after owner response saying this was not the place. YES, this was the place and YES it was one of your employees smoking away right there. I got a soft serve in a cup. This is a new kiosk that opened after the block opened back up after the 16th street construction. I went there awhile back, and at that time went online googling for your business to contact directly to discuss the issue (rather than submitting a review regarding this issue), but there was no contact info for your business at the time and there wasn't a google maps location set up for your business yet either. Come everyone to the 16th Street Mall downtown and Try Ichigo Matcho not only are the drinks delicious well made, and prepared in the cleanest of standards, Emma is wonderful, cheerful and is always happy to explain the different cultural beverages. They serve here at Ichigo.🥰. The quality the prices and the standard are all an A+. I come here all the time to try a new beverage and the ice cream is amazing. They fill your cone from the bottom to the top and many of the beverages are very healthy and unique if you wanna try a different experience in beverages come down to 16th St. mall on the north west side just across the street west of Cheesecake Factory and you will see Emma's little stand on the sidewalk.. I tried this place yesterday and ordered a banana matcha latte. The people working were very nice, the atmosphere was lovely, and the wait wasn’t too long despite how many people were waiting for their order, however the latte I got was incredibly sweet and thick like it had too much syrup in it. I do enjoy a sweeter matcha latte, but I couldn’t even drink this as it felt like I was drinking straight syrup. I did mix the drink very well but it didn’t help, I ended up throwing it away and having to buy matcha somewhere else.
