First visit and my wife and I were blown away. Some friends recommended we give this place a try as the new menu was outstanding. Every thing we tried showed an impressive attention to detail and flavor for an over the counter fast- casual experience. The Mi was the best I’ve had in Denver (surprisingly even better than Vinh Xuong and Golden Bahn Mi!) — complex layers of taste with homemade deli meats that were on point and well-seasoned, all tucked inside bread that had a glassy crunch and a soft interior. The shumai was remarkable, made by hand with a chunky texture that let the shiitake mushrooms shine, avoiding the bland paste you often find elsewhere. The Korean fried chicken sandwich was perfectly crispy with a pillowy soft bun, and the housemade kimchi struck an ideal balance of heat and spice. The tempura fried mushrooms and onion rings came with an aioli that was the perfect complement — rich, tangy, and addictive. Service was excellent: attentive, friendly, and efficient. The restaurant was spotless, comfortable, and prices were more than fair for the quality. Highly recommended for anyone seeking great flavors, warm service, and true value....
Read moreWe visited here for the first time yesterday afternoon before things got started for the Parade of Lights downtown, and I was very happy with everything! The only thing that was a bit odd were the restrooms, only because they share them with another restaurant and the way to get to them was a bit weird. Just be mindful of your surroundings when using them.
Very easy to find and walk to, even with all the construction. We were greeted as soon as we walked in and the gentleman that took our order at the counter was very nice and friendly! Atmosphere was open, bright, and inviting!
Food wise, everything tasted great! I highly recommend the Gioza! The proportions of the ramen bowls were also very nice, not too much and not too little! I wish they would've had the sushi available, but I think we were there just a little too early for it. Service was quick and they brought our food to our table based on the number given at the counter when we ordered.
Overall, I was very happy we decided to eat here and I recommend giving this place a try if you're looking for a...
Read moreKyoto Ramen is a solid choice if you’re in the mood for ramen or Japanese fare. The restaurant itself is small, clean, and no-frills, allowing the focus to remain on the food which is quite tasty. I’ve been here twice, and on both occasions, my ramen arrived hot (but not scalding) and full of flavor. The cooks also present each bowl beautifully, perfect for an Instagram shot. You can choose your spice level (none, mild, medium, or hot), and I found the medium option to be just right: noticeable heat without overpowering the flavors.
The only slight downside is the portion size. It’s not tiny, but both times I left feeling satisfied rather than completely stuffed, even after splitting an appetizer. If there’s one thing I’d like to see improved, it’s slightly larger servings. That said, I wouldn’t hesitate to return the next time I’m craving ramen. While I also plan to explore other nearby ramen spots for comparison, Kyoto Ramen which I recommended, I doubt you’ll leave...
