Don’t book here; no flexibility.
I wanted to do an escape room for my bachelor party, so I booked a full room 2 weeks in advance. It turned out that not everyone was going to be in town at that time, so I tried to change my reservation, but there was no way to change, only cancel my reservation. An hour after I made the reservation, I canceled it, and received NO REFUND. I understand they have to set up the room, and they don’t want last minute cancellation, but no exceptions is absolutely absurd.
I booked with another escape room that gave me gift cards to come back with my wife after the wedding, I talked to customer support to change my time, and they were super friendly. When my wife and I went to this other place, they gave us more gift cards to try other rooms because we just got married! I ended up having an amazing experience with another escape room, my point being there are way better options. Don’t waste your time or money here.
I have no idea how good the rooms actually are, and I never will. They scammed me out of enough money, I’m not giving them any more.
Edit: Since this review was posted, they have reached out to me in every possible way. Yet they only offered vouchers. What they need to do is get rid of their no exception policy for cancellation. If they do no work and I get no services, they shouldn’t be...
Read moreHad a great time doing their “Dreams” room. After having done maybe 15 escape rooms I figured I had seen it all, but this experience was surprisingly novel. It was the first escape room I’d seen that was broken down into 20 minutes for each of three connected rooms, and the first I’d seen that had no combination or key locks of any kind, which is generally an escape room staple. If I could suggest one thing it would be to add a visible timer to each room; although we got 10, 5, and 1 minute warnings, sometimes people were talking loud enough to blot those out and it would have been helpful to be able to look up at any time and see the time remaining for the current room.
There were multiple puzzles per room and they were challenging and fun. Almost half of them were new concepts/mechanisms I had not encountered before. Very impressed by the level of creativity and I am curious to try other rooms of theirs as well. If you do “Dreams”, I recommend 6-8 people, even 10. We had 9 and it was not too many. Time flies by fast! Best of luck to you if you attempt to do it with the room minimum of 4!
No matter which room you do, don’t be afraid to ask for hints if you need them to keep things moving; it is more satisfying to figure out a puzzle after getting a hint than to have your time run out without being able to...
Read moreupdated after owner contacted us No score boards to keep track of progress/see if you made a leaderboard (if you care about that). My original review was upset about the room not looking as advertised and the game master interrupting us/missing when we finished a puzzle so we had to do it multiple times. Alex, the owner, immediately contacted us and tried to make everything right. They were very nice. They tried to explain everything. I’m guessing the jungle room had an update and they just opened up, so maybe there will be further changes down the road. The painting thats in the advertisements (jungle leaves and animals) was just khaki walls when we went in so it felt like an office space rather than jungle and there was no fog since people complained about that a lot. They also mentioned updating training for game masters. I’m sure it’s difficult to catch every cue as a single person working a game room when another group comes in like they did near the end of our game. The game master was really nice and so was the owner. I hope to see the company grow...
