Sadboy Creamery — Restaurant in Denver

Okay, part of me really wants to say this place is terrible just so I have a better shot at getting my hands on more Ice cream before everyone else catches on… but the truth is, Sad Boy Creamery is incredible. The location feels like a secret—tucked away behind a barely-marked door with just a small sticker in the window. It’s got serious ice cream speakeasy energy, which somehow makes it even cooler (and colder, I guess). Once you’re in though, it’s totally worth the mini scavenger hunt. I grabbed a pint of the Glumfetti and wow… it was next-level. Rich, creamy, and packed with crunchy bits that give it the perfect texture. Not one of those pints where you’re digging around looking for the good stuff—this was mixed to perfection. Circus cookie is way too sweet and kind of artificial tasting. Grandma's Toffee has an excellent vanilla base with toffee swirls of the perfect sweetness and richness. I don't like crunchy things in my ice cream but I still really liked the pecans. I love everything about Sadboy! As an earlier customer, I’ve gotten to see Sadboy grow - when I first purchased, there were maybe 2 flavors each week and now there are like 5 or 6! I don’t know any other place you can get such unique and delicious flavors. And the quality is PRIMO! I see Sadboy stickers everywhere now and it’s always a great way to strike up a conversation with a stranger. Picking up my order is the highlight of my week, and everyone is always so kind.
