Zoup! Eatery — Restaurant in Denver

What a great find in downtown Denver! I had a sore throat and just wanted some hot soup. I walked into a little slice of heaven! First thing I saw was Lobster Bisque, YUM! I was greeted by a very friendly gentleman that covered the Zoup story for me. Then he and the young woman working behind the counter with him, filled me in on the soups. Luckily for me they agreed the Lobster Bisque was a good choice. The soup was awesome, but I want to focus on the 2 behind the calendar. The soup would have brought me back, but those 2 behind the counter, were so nice and friendly. They listened to my likes and wants and made excellent suggestions. They weren't pushy, just helpful! I returned later that night and they were both still working. They recognized me and it was like a good old family reunion. They recommended the chicken pot pie soup, and another hit. My husband loved his lobster bisque, but I bought three different soups and to me, They all tasted so much the same. Looking at their ingredient list they’re not necessarily all the nicest ingredients but they are a chain restaurant so I’m sure it helps them have consistency across states. I wish they had wonderful soups that didn’t have so much junk in them. The salads looked so beautiful and fresh, and had absolutely no taste. How does that happen? Really how can something look good and taste like nothing and it was four of us That felt the very same way. We eat out often and love good food. I have been to many soup, salad and sandwich places before and love how fast and convenient they are. When I went to Zoup for the first time, it took about 20 minutes, when it should be around 5 minutes, to get a soup and salad to-go and there weren’t even many people in front of me. When I asked where my order was the cashiers’ response was very rude and unfriendly. The back just seemed chaotic and it seemed as if they were missing a system to help the flow go faster. Then, once I received my order I got my salad and I specifically requested no blue cheese, and there was blue cheese all over my salad.
