Went for lunch. I had a 45 min lunch. After ordering my basic pad thai the lady told me it would be a 20 wait. I watched 4 people come up after me and order, some of was the same thing I ordered. She knew their names and seemed very familiar with them. After watching them come and go before my order was announced(28 min) I went up to checkin. She said "oh yes we're making it now, 15 min ok." I said um no I already waiting almost 30 and need to get back to work. She said ok and gave me $12 in cash. It was very cold and rude. This was my first time there, I didn't tip using my card(which she obviously knew since she so quickly gave me my $12 without a second thought) I had cash for once I picked it up to decide how much to tip based on the experience and taste of the food. I'm happy I didn't tip in the beginning. I left without food. My whole lunch wasted! I won't be returning with that attitude.
Update: Finally got an order, the food is good. Nice flavor, perfect spice. Wait was almost 30min, quoted 20 min. I tipped on card this time, it was during the lunch rush, however, they definitely...
Read moreAll Thai'd Up is a delicious Thai food cart in a neat little cluster of food carts in downtown Eugene. Both of the folks that were working when I was there were extremely nice and enthusiastic about the food. Being my first time there, I asked them to recommend something to me and they proceeded to tell me that they make their own curry in house which is rare. I chose to get the curry noodles with chicken and it was really really good. Eugene has quite a few good Thai places and I have eaten at all of them. This one is on par with the best of them however it is perfectly suited for lunch with very fair prices and quick, made to order meals. My curry was flavorful, pefectly spicy, and filling without being too much for a work lunch. For only $10 it's hard to beat. I would definitely recommend this to anyone looking to get a fresh, delicious lunch for a...
Read moreMy family has been coming here for over three years. I first started frequenting ATU when I worked nearby, and when my office moved across town I still come back to order from here even though there are closer Thai food trucks. We really love Thai food and we love the other ones too, but ATU is our favorite.
All of their dishes are full of flavor and fairly priced. My favorite is the basil stir fry, but at this point I've tried everything and it's all delicious. They are accommodating for dietary restrictions. The owners are so warm and friendly, and you can just tell they put passion and love into their food and...
