If I could give a half a star, I would – and that is only because most of the food was good (pizza and sandwich good, wings bad). I can’t remember ever having a worse dining experience. My husband and I are former servers, so we are pretty lenient. We understand the trials and tribulations of the food service industry. However, there was no excuse for the atrocious service we received here. The server seemed to not understand even the basics of serving. We asked for a pitcher of root beer for the KIDS. He brings us glasses. We ask for cups for the root beer since they are for children and he proceeded to give us cups with water. We went ahead and did the switching ourselves. It took my friend at least 30 minutes to get her beer. We saw a larger party (maybe 7 people) leave because they were tired of waiting for their food (we assume this because their pizza came after they left and the server looked confused when he went to deliver it to an empty table). The woman we presumed to be the owner came over to us after an hour of sitting there, asking if we were ready for our check. We advised her we would like our food first. She went to the kitchen to “check on the food.” Maybe 5 minutes later she came out with one pizza. No mention of the other food. (We had 3 families with separate orders – 11 people total.) We asked the server about the rest of the food; he said he would check on it and then we see him standing at the front – no report back to us. I got up to ask the owner and she said she would check. Again, no report back. A few minutes later, another family in our party receives their pizza. Again, no update on the rest of the food given. I get up to ask the manager about my family’s food and she says they are working on it. Finally, once the first family is finished eating and the other family is halfway through eating, we receive our other two pizzas, sandwich, and wings. While we were waiting for our food, a couple who came in well after us, received their food 20 minutes after sitting down. The owner tells us she’s divided up our checks, but isn’t sure how to split the drinks; we can come up to the front to do that. No apology. No discount for the wait. Hindsight being 20/20, I should have demanded a discount of some sort. I thought about it, but just wanted out of there. When we all went to pay, the owner asked us how the food was. We said it was good, but it was a very long wait. She responds something to the effect of, “Yeah, I just had to get back there and get them moving.” She then proceeds to tell us how they only use “good” ingredients – organic, honey instead of sugar, etc. Your “good” ingredients do NOTHING to make up for the deplorable service. I will NEVER go back there and will be sure to tell everyone I know about this place so they can avoid it, too. It is a wonder they are still in business. I’m not sure how they do it. The place was dead when we were there. There were maybe 2 other occupied tables when we were there. How on Earth could they handle a crowd? I would have rather gone to a...
Read moreWorst service ever! Can't even explain but I, will try. We went here on the recommendation from a friend who went here 10+ years ago. She was with us and apologized profusely after we were done. So when we got in there, there was 4 other occupied tables. Our waiter not sure if he could even be considered a waiter, came by our table 10 minutes after we sat and took our drink order. That took 5 mins for him to write it all down. Just soda, water, an Arnold Palmer and one beer. 10 plus minutes later we got half of the drink order. 5 minutes later we got the water and decided to order. That took what felt like an eternity. After that we had to ask for my son's soda and my Arnold Palmer. Which came 5 minutes later and then another reminder for the soda. The beer came an additional 10 mins after that. Mind you at this point there was only 2 other tables in the restuarant. One table that was next to us left because they were getting the same amount of service as we were. #none. The guy brought out there food after they had already had been gone for like 10 minutes. They hadn't even noticed, and they were sitting in the front of the restaurant by our waiter who was busy moving at a pace that would make snails look like formula one cars. At this point the owner I'm assuming came and asked us if we would like our check. We were like we haven't even eaten yet. Coming up on 1 1/2 hours in to this experience they bring the first pizza. She asks if we need anything else to which respond "yes, the rest of our food." She looked at us like we had heads growing out of our heads. She asked what we ordered. So we tell her in essence ordering a second time. Fast forward 10 minutes and our original waiter comes and asks us how everything is. To which we respond "we don't know. We don't have the rest of our food." To which he replies "I know they are working on it." To which we reply "weren't they supposed to on this an hour ago?" He says "I don't know." We were floored at this point. The owner finally comes back and brings one of the remaining 3 pizzas and says here you go. My wife then says there are still 2 more pizzas right she replies "what were they again?" I could only laugh at this point. I still had a philly cheesesteak coming as well. 2 hours into this we finally got all our food. Was it worth waiting for "NO". Maybe I'm just biased now about the horrible service we received. As we left I said, "had a rough start huh?" To which the owner replies " I had to kick them in the butt." I could only laugh because her cooks basically just screwed up, dont know how to cook or both. On top of all this she then proceeds to tell me that everything is natural and blah, blah, blah. We use honey instead of sugar. Which now explains why it took so long. We were waiting for the bees to make the honey I guess. No apology for the wait. No discount to make it right. Nothing. I would highly recommend you...
Read moreWe had a public access issue with our group of 7 Service Dogs and 8 people, including 2 combat veterans, on Sunday, Feb 18th. I had spoken with the staff on Friday, Feb 16th about our group coming in as a courtesy heads up and it unfortunately was not communicated properly. When we walked in, we were greeted by a dog in the corner who immediately began barking at our Service Dogs. This dog was clearly not a service Dog by its behavior and the owner was doing nothing to stop the dog from barking at our Service Dogs. The manager on duty approached our party and when one of our combat veterans told him how many humans and Service Dogs were in our group, he demanded to see our "paperwork". That fired up one of our other combat veterans because not only is it illegal to ask for "paperwork" per the ADA, but the dog that was in the corner barking at us was still barking and was still not being asked to leave. I told them we had already spoken to staff prior and we went to sit down. The dog in the corner (Old English Sheepdog) was still barking. We all sat down and the dog and owner were still inside by the bar. One of our party got up to use the restroom, and as they went to, and came back from the restroom, this set off the dog barking repeatedly. The barking from this dog went on for almost 10 minutes - that is entirely too long for a dog to be allowed to leave. This dog wasn't a Service Dog and no one was claiming it to be a Service Dog, which means by the staff allowing it to be inside their food establishment, they were knowingly breaking health code laws. The manager on duty, Jordan, did come over after the barking dog left and apologized to our party and allowed one of the people in our group to give him some information on what he is legally allowed to ask a person with a Service Dog. He was also informed on what his rights are as a business regarding Service Dogs, and saw that all 7 dogs were tucked underneath the table and chairs quietly, not sniffing the ground, not jumping up trying to eat food, etc. He was told that was what he should expect to see from a Service Dog and if they are doing anything disruptive to the business (like barking, peeing, etc), they can be legally asked to leave. Jordan the manager was very apologetic and while the visit there started out rough, it ended pleasantly. Of course, the food there was delicious as always, and our waitress was on top of checking on us frequently. I still highly recommend this place, and hope they are willing to continue to educate themselves on Service Dogs and their handler rights, as well as their business rights and responsibilities regarding Service Dogs...
