I spent $51.90 on my order for the food to not be tasty, the bread to be soggy ans if it wasn’t toasted and burnt. Upon making the order it was asked that the fries be fresh which they weren’t so it was then asked of them to bring fresh fries as the ones in the bag were cold and they brought out the same fries just dropped back in the grease as they were then crunchy and hard. There were floating pieces of what I’m assuming to be plastic in the cups from the fountain floating in the drinks. After it was realized and a call was made to see about a refund for the food because it was unacceptable for the price sema, the manager hung up after offering a choice of a refund or a fresh made sandwich and when I called back she was telling the other worker to hang up the call. So the customer service as far as the manager was definitely unprofessional as well as she wasn’t truly trying to resolve the issue as she claimed it can be refunded just by knowing the amount of the order and no card information.

Super tasty! Great ownership! Highly recommend the hot pastrami. 2nd visit and review I ordered a 6" Hot Pastrami with extra meat, fries, and a drink. It came our perfect and fast. Overflowing with meat. Hot. No mistakes. No wait. Thank you chef and team for making my belly super full and happy. Came back in to give Jon Smith Subs a second chance since the new owner reached out due to an unpleasant previous experience. Kudos to Ricky for reaching out and making an unhappy customer happy. I will be back again. Wish you and your location nothing but success.

I needed a new lunch spot in Downtown, and decided to give Jon Smith a try. I ordered 12 inch tuna salad sandwich, neither the menu nor the staff mentioned it contain provolone cheese. The sandwich had too much tuna salad and very little toppings, like onions, lettuce and pickles, it just didn’t have the right balance. Liquid was dripping from the tuna salad, so it would have been sagged if I ordered it to go. The bread was a bit doughy, the staff were very friendly. The prices are on the high side but within the expectation for downtown.

I am a leaving this review with the hopes they take the input seriously so that they can stay open for a long time. As I do think that there is a need for a good sandwich/sub place in this area.

My boss and I were very excited to try this new restaurant by the office.

Service was great. The lady that took our order was very friendly and nice.

Food was disappointing. I ordered a 6" Italian sub with the "made to order" (as advertised) fries. My boss ordered a hot pastrami sub and french fries. Both of our observations/experiences were the same: The bread was doughy. They seemed underbaked or frozen and defrosted in the microwave (which I'm sure is not the case). It's got a weird texture when you take a bite into it. The french fries, were cold/room temp. Again, they seemed undercooked. The thing is, they were advertised as "made to order" but how could they be made to order when they're not hot at all. They were, again, cold/room temperature. No flavor. No crispiness to them. They are $3.50 for an order. The fries are not worth price. I should've gotten chips instead. My order came to $12.50 (+/-), and is not worth that price, at all. The pastrami, my boss said, were tasty. But the sandwich, as whole, she was not impressed either.

I did check the reviews before going, but I figured to try it for myself. The latest reviews are consistent to my and my boss' experience, as well. Underwhelming and disappointing.

I really do want Jon Smith Subs to succeed. I believe that if they take the reviews to heart and improve, atleast, the subs and french fries, they might have a chance.

For now, we'll wait until the kinks are figured out, and try again next year. I...

Edit: The owner reached out and stated that the review may have been a bit unfair and asked for another chance. Since I believe the request is genuine, I absolutely will give them another chance! I'm updating the stars to a 3 for the sincerity and humbleness and that I still haven't tasted their food but looking forward to updating to a 5. I will keep you posted.

Soooo, I love a good sub. Always have. So while driving downtown a couple of times, this place kinda stood out to me. Today while looking for the best tuna subs in my area, this place came up in the suggested list. I was about to place an UberEats order for it to be delivered to me but I thought about the fact that I had never tried it. And let's be clear, all tuna sandwiches are not made equally. So I drove there, about a 6 minutes drive at the time. Parked, went in. I asked if it would be ok if I could sample their tuna. The young lady informed me that they were out of tuna at the moment. I asked if they were going to make some more up. It was around 1:45 p.m. She said that they were out of mayo at the moment. I said thank you. As time progressed I started to think to myself what sandwich shop runs out of mayo? If you have to make a store run to get some, that's what you do. It's a really SIMPLE fix; one that goes without saying. I can't tell you how the food tastes but the service and atmosphere didn't meet the mark at all for me. It wasn't that the young lady was unprofessional or anything, it just didn't sit right. And still doesn't sit right. That's important when I'm patronizing...

New Review After my initial experience, the owner went out of his way to reach out and try to make things right. He kept in contact with me through email and text for a couple of months, showing genuine concern about my experience. I'm back now, and I just had the Cajun chicken sandwich – and let me tell you, it's amazing! Super cheesy, flavorful, hot, fresh, and absolutely delicious. Really appreciate the extra effort and the fantastic meal Thank you Ricky!

old review * This was the driest, most flavorless sandwich I've ever had. Even though I asked for extra mayonnaise and all the toppings that came on it, it was just not good. The bread had a weird texture; I don't know if they needed to toast it or something. I ordered three sandwiches, one with fries and a drink, totaling over $50. The fries were so salty that the salt burned the roof of my mouth and my tongue. If the food is good, I will say it is good, but it wasn't, and I was mad that I spent that much money, went out of my way to get the sandwiches, and had to wait forever for them to make them. The lady at the counter was very accommodating and went above and beyond with her customer service, but I definitely will not be back. The sandwiches look so good online; that's where I came from—an Instagram suggestion ad. Good luck with your experience.

I got the Hamburger, the crispy chicken, and the Italian—all of them the large sandwiches—to split with middle schoolers who said the same thing that I said about the sandwiches: that they did...
