Der Küchen-Laden — Local services in Fredericksburg

While visiting Fredericksburg for an anniversary weekend getaway, my husband and I popped into Der Kuchen Laden as it was on my list to visit while on Main Street. I had no idea they were a dealer for the Ankarsrum mixer that I'd been researching and eyeing for a while. My husband surprised me and told me to pick one out. Marilyn was so sweet to ensure I knew all the things about the mixer. She was very knowledgeable and helpful. She would point out an accessory and if I told her I didn't need it (blender attachment for example...I have a nice Vitamix already) she didn't push. She simply showed me others. I ended up purchasing the Ankarsrum mixer and the smaller stainless steel bowl to go along with it. They were so kind to hold onto the mixer while we went to retrieve our car to load it up. They also included a very helpful guide they printed with some great information as the machine can be quite overwhelming at first.

This is the coolest little store ever! They look so tiny on the outside but it is really big inside and never seems to end. You should probably clear a good part of your schedule for this place! We were initially going to go in for 5 minutes but ended up staying for 30 minutes or so instead - no regrets! They have mugs, coffee makers, knives, pots, pans, dishes, bowls, wine glasses, aprons phew* ... so much stuff that I can't even list them all off. The stuff they have is very interesting yet many of the things are things you need but have not even realized until you saw them in this store!! We ended up finding mugs with Renoir paintings on them for the outside design, a really really really nice steak knife, an espresso/coffee maker called the Aeropress (that we were going to buy on Amazon), a really nice scooper for coffee grinds and a little measuring cup. If we had more money and time we would have probably ended up buying a lot more stuff than we did. This place is like the Daiso of Fredericksburg! I can't wait to come back here with my friends and family!!! *even the employees...

Amazing Kitchen Superstore! Every person there is beyond helpful and there is so much variety. They even special ordered something for me at a low price and shipped it to me for free. Every single time I go in there, I can't leave without buying way too much that I feel like I have to have! I use the opportunity to replace my older stuff with high quality items that are not over priced and definitely cheaper than any other cooking items stores. Yes, some things are expensive because the brand itself is expensive, but they not only carry those items, they carry quality alternatives at great prices. I love this place and have often called them when I got back home and asked them to send me stuff which they always do for free. I've never known any store to offer customer service the way...
