The candy is good and its your classic novelty store when ever you are a tourist and your in a new city and you feel like spending money on candy. I was personally disappointed with their customer service. The store is run by young kids, none of which I really had a problem with. They were doing their job and doing what they were told by their manager. Their manager was uneducated in business and performed poorly when it came to customer satisfaction. My friends and I had just spent $150 plus dollars in their store. I had bought three pieces of fudge, not realizing that if you bought 4 you could get two pieces for free. Regardless of how big their sign was, it would have been advantageous had they told me that if I bought one more piece of fudge I could have gotten two more for free. I hadn't even left the store after buying my fudge when I saw their big advertisement. I asked the girls behind the counter if I could purchase one more piece of fudge and get the deal, especially since I hadn't even left the store yet. She asked her manager and her manager said no. I asked if I could get a refund, they said sure, took my bag and then asked me for my receipt. I had paid in cash, and the girls did not give me a receipt and therefore could not give me a refund. The manager proceeded to argue with me over how much my fudge cost as if that had any relevance to him telling me that I couldn't get the deal. In any event, it was just candy, and I have better things to do than to argue with a young kid over that deal that I missed out on and I left. But will I go back to this store again? No, not ever. Congratulations, Manager of the year. You were so concerned with making sure that your boss didn't get mad at you for making a deal with your customer that you didn't think about the lost future revenue that you will receive from myself and my friends in the future. What was not expected was the rude lady behind the ice cream counter in charge of serving the ice cream. You are expected to know what you want but they donāt have any signs to see the flavors except at the ice cream counter. I asked for a flavor they did not have and the lady was rude, snarky, and a smart alec instead of apologizing saying they were out. Had I known I would not of asked for it. She made my cousin uncomfortable as his second language is English he was so nervous to speak to her and almost did not get any ice cream at all. Also while waiting in the long line my cousin and I had picked out some candy and drinks we saw that were interesting along with some magnets. When I went to pay our hands were full along with having to grab the ice cream. However, they did not have a bag for us to carry our items out of the store in that area. I ended up paying for the magnets and accidentally left them because my hands were so full I couldnāt carry everything. I was told to go to the other side of the store and ask for a bag and when I did I was given a very small one not large enough to hold all I had paid for. I used to take all out of town family here and come with friends but never again. The other workers were very young and did a decent job but in need of training.
