Doc Green's Gourmet Salad And Sandwich Bar — Restaurant in Georgia

I am celiac and traveling from Chicago to Florida. I needed to stop for food in Atlanta and was having a hard time finding places that I felt were "safe" by my standards and sensitivity (which, unfortunately, is high). I found Business Kitchen by searching for gluten-free free eating in Atlanta, and it was close so I ordered pickup (note: through ChowNow (hint, don't use this app/gateway, go IN and order for half price)) and popped in to pick it up, but the order was lost between chownow's payment gateway and the service provider (Doc Green's), and chownow issued me a refund, but the restraunt had actually received the order and had started building it ... at the end of the day, chownow issued me a refund, and the store was going to give me the food!

I informed the proprieter that had helped me, and we went through and canceled/reordered the dish so that I made sure the service provider didn't get shafted like it seemed it was going to!!

The restaurant is impressive, from a very fundamental perspective. They follow proper safety and cooking standards and can cook gluten and gluten-free dishes without contamination. This is very important to know for celiacs, and I wish more restaurants would commit to following the standards they are SUPPOSED to be following anyways.

I tried the gluten-free roasted chicken plate with added goat cheese, artichoke hearts, and roasted red peppers. I received enough food for me to eat 2 meals, and it was delicious! What an unbelievable score, and worth the time it took to write this review if it helps...

I am rating Doc Greens a 3 because I always liked the restaurant. I get food for my Daughter and I at least 2 times per week and sometimes I order through UberEats. I always tip but today I did not. Although the last couple if salads purchased, the chicken was very dry I returned to order again giving them the benefit of the doubt that it was an off day. Today the chicken is still dry and on top of that, I did not appreciate the manner in which I was served. I thought maybe the guy was new but I was told he wasn't but I found him rather rude. There is another guy that is also rude and I decided if he was there I was not planning to order. He wasn't so I ordered and this guy was not pleasant to deal with. There are two guys that are always pleasant to deal with. I said I wasn't going to return. I really think the service and server attitudes need to improve and the chicken should be better. Paying $12 for a salad (with premium toppings) is a lot not to be pleased with your food. It's definitely not the same.

Update I have upgraded my score from a 3 to a 4. I have visited 6 additional times and only 2 visits had dry chicken. I will continue to eat there but customer service still needs improving. One young man is super nice and polite (not one to smile but always nice) there's a second young man that nice at times but sometimes not. I have been to this location at least 15 times since I moved to the area. I used to go to another location so I decided to try this one out. I needed a healthy choice that was also quick. I had to STOP going to the location because I got deathly sick food poisoning THREE times. I love the way their salad tastes so I just thought it was maybe something else and maybe I was sick a stomach bug. I went back again and noticed a really bad smell so I looked over the counter to see they had dirty water all over the floor. They were cleaning up to an hour and a half before scheduled. I also ALWAYS order to go so I guess thats why I never noticed before. The reason why I am writing this post is because the employees are EXTREMELY rude. I call all the time to order in and the last time I called at 8:30 pm (an hour before they close) and they said they don't do togo orders at this hour. I asked well when do you and they said not after 6... I said ummm so you only do togo during the busy hours? and he said no so I said welllll when can I order then? His response was that I should order grub hub or something like that to get delivered!! What a RUDE response! I order there ALL the time and have NEVER been told anything like that.
