Always great tasting food. Always good attentive service. Never disappointed about the quantity of the meat chosen in the dish we ordered. Main reason we come back is the quantity of the meat served in either a taco, burrito, tostada, etc. And it is always flavorful, tasty, etc.
This is our favorite Mexican restaurant hands down. Since moving to the Phoenix area about 5 years ago, we expected to find a plethora of good choices. We've tried a bunch and this by far is our favorite. So much so that we have stopped shopping for options!!
I keep saying the same thing every time I write a review. Ample serving of the meat of our choice. Love it, love it, love it! Service is top notch, salsa is superb, chips are the way we like them, etc. All in all a favorite of ours when it's time for Mexican.
As always the service was top notch. The food as usual was spot on. The restaurant was comfortable and welcoming..
Your company should hold conferences and teach other restaurants how to connect with their customers. Your reward system keeps us thinking about coming back. But the real reason is the food and the service. You don't skimp on the ingredients, you hire very attentive employees and you don't skimp on the amount of food you put into your meals. Case in point is the chicken chimichanga that I order is STUFFED with chicken. I love that!! I don't have to search for it. You must use a full breast or more in each order. DO NOT CHANGE that please!!
Your food is excellent. You don’t skimp on the chips, which are our favorite, there’s always more than enough chicken or pork or beef in your dishes and your staff is top notch. Ajo’s is our favorite place.
We’ve driven by your restaurant for over 2 years now. We finally decided to give it a try and we wished now we hadn’t put it off. The food was scrumptious and the service was top notch. Jocylen knows how to make your experience better. She was very attentive to our needs. Prices were reasonable too.
This has become our go-to Mexican restaurant. The food is great, the portions are ok, (I'm not suggesting they get bigger, just wishing I could chose a smaller portion since I don't eat as much as I used to. One of the bummers of getting old). I/we marvel at the amount of meat you put in your various dishes you serve. WE LOVE THAT. We appreciate that. Always nice to have chicken, steak or pork with every bite. I hate having to search the plate...
Read moreA truly happy Happy Hour with a wide assortment of items. The atmosphere is a modern theme restaurant with a high ceiling and colorful and fun murals like the women drinking beer, running horses, and a giant AZ themed collage. Glass cacti are in containers all around and neon signs highlight the corner where you can watch fresh tortillas being made. Excellent salsa with the house tortilla chips that is served when seated, although was hoping the chips would've been warm. The mini chimis were delicious, but for an appetizer I'd rather have a portion of 2 for half the price of $6.50 for 4 since I like to sample more appetizer items and the 4 together are almost a meal. They were out of the two carnitas I wanted so the server said I could pick any taco from the regular menu and be charged the HH price so it was nice to see they were aware of a problem and tried to make good. I got the potato taco which was amazing since I'd never had one and it was a cheesy mashed potato with fresh corn kernels and I would definitely get it again. I had pointed to the cheaper margarita on the HH menu but was brought a House Margarita so that was disappointing, but it tasted good, although I wish it would've been served in a traditional margarita glass since that always adds to a festive feel. Friend ordered the Combo Fajitas which came sizzling and smelling delicious. The nice surprise was that rather than same ol' sides, you could choose the fresh green and yellow squash with roasted fresh corn: quite the treat! The refried beans did not taste like they came out of a can either. Glad they have draft beer esp. that they had an amber instead of just the light ones. If only they wouldn't have run out of the items I really wanted, given the proper drink, warmed the chips, and have more choices offering tamales, they would've hit the 5 star mark, so will...
Read moreI'm super picket about Mexican or Mexican style resturants. This one did not disappoint. It did have a dish I totaly didn't agree with but wasn't a big deal overall. Bottom line great food, great dinning experience and decent pricing for a family of 5. Under $100 with everyone getting their own stuff. Pretty good actually. I had the Carne asada street tacos and those things where on point! They gave me this pretty cool side dish of sautéed vegetables and potatoes with cheese which i really liked and wasn't expecting. We ordered a green chilli tamale on the side and it was sweet with a pinch of fire roasted smokie heat from the green chilli. We also ordered the chilaquiles which I have personally never had them with scrambled egg and green sauce on them. We normally call that style " chilindrinas" but they where good. I think next time I would ask for them in red sauce just to compare. My wife had the huevos Rancheros and this is the only dish we didn't agree with but overall wasn't bad. There was an overeasy egg in the middle and the waiter did ask if we wanted red or green and she choose green. The green sauce and the beautiful cheese that they use didn't compliment each other and turned into this apple sauce type texture. now we know, next yime its red. There will be a next time. Great dish just bad selection on our part. I would recomend this place to anyone. We went for brunch and it did not disappoint. Great atmosphere, great staff and pleasant...
