While the food was good overall, our assigned waiter was not paying attention during our drink order which resulted in errors. One being a drink with alcohol when a non-alchol version was ordered.
I am glad there were no adverse effects as the person reacts badly to any type of alcohol. This could have ended in an entirely different manner.
If it were not for the other waiter we may never had gotten any refills on the other beverages.
When the final bill was questioned regarding the additional cost for the alchol based drink, the waiter became defensive insinuating it was our error, not his.
This resulted in the Owner getting involved. While a small correction was made for the drink difference it was not before a condensending rambling of non-relavant verbage defending the waiter. All of them character and non-server staff work related including: good guy, doesn't use drugs, fire fighter, etc. I'm sure she could have kept going given the opportunity.
I only wish she had simply accepted the situation and responded in a polite, customer oriented manner like most small business owners. She could have simply apologized and said the waiter was over booked with tables. It's a shame since the other servers seem to truly want to do a good job.
In the end, it was over a $5.00 variance in the bill. I'm sure neither the $5.00 or this review will matter to her.
It became less about the $5.00 but the insinuation that we were trying to get something over on them.... something for nothing, calling out our character.
If your meal and service are great, than you'll have no concern. BUT, if there are any problems I'm sure you'll have the opportunity to meet "The Owner".
If you've read this far and question this review, just sort on the "lowest" ranking and you'll see similar remarks.
I won't be surprised if there is an owner reply and if so will most likely try to defend the situation by further attacking the customer as being...

We wanted to sit outside 'cause the day was beautiful and we tried to stay on a table even if that parasol doesn't work. That was so anoying, so we decided to move to another table. Our server say no, not in the best wat to talk. The restaurant was almost empty after couple minutes, and we cannot move to another table without that problem?
Then, the waitress was so mean how she talked to us. She was so kind with other tables, but not to us. She didn't make her greet to us. We really feel she discriminate to us. After that, she just gave our table to another server. He was soooo different. He was the server that you was expecting for your vacations. His name is Joel, he was our little shine on the nightmare.
We don't why, but she returned to us just to apologize. We accepted her apologize, and everything was fine. But, after that, she came to us again. Not just to say apologize, she was talking as an angry people. She got mad 'cause we felt so bad? At this point, my wife was so mad and we just wanted to leave. I took the tip out of the check and after we leave, she ran to the table to see what I wrote.
I'm a server too, I really know how work everything about changing tables, side works, responsabilities (she said she has a kid), co-workers, work with the owner on the table, eating before or between your shift. I almost forgot, she was eating and she had some food in her mouth when she talked to us on the first time.
The food was not the beeeest tasty ever, I can say was alright.
Thanks for that bad experience. I don't remember her name, but thanks god I don't remember her name. So bad experience. I don't know if she got problems with Latinos or something. We just want to have the best...
Read moreI only put two stars because the elk quesadilla was really good, as well as the Bloody Mary. Let’s just start with the fact they give you a jug of water at the beginning…. And there’s a reason for that. By the end of the meal the entire jug of water is finished. Listen…the food was overrated! We asked for a medium rare burger, the burger was well done. I asked for a blackened salmon, the salmon was overall salted. I couldn’t even take a bite without chugging the entire cup of water. The menu is very misleading. The salmon supposedly comes with roasted potatoes, the potatoes were fried! What if people have allergies or food sensitivities? Good thing I asked prior to eating them or I would’ve ended up in the hospital. I didn’t even eat my plate. The server, Chase, never asked if I wanted another meal or something different. He basically just left and came back with the check. I looked at the check, THEY CHARGED ME for the plate that was UNTOUCHED! The server, Chase, was so incompetent that he didn’t bother thinking “hmmm… the Least I can do is take her meal off the check” The other two servers were more concerned about my experience than our server (Chase) was. Long story short…. The food is overrated, Chase the server needs some training on how to treat and serve people. I worked in the fine dining industry for over 6 years, and I know for a fact that is NOT how you do your job!!! This was our first time in Glenwood Springs and we enjoyed everything we did there, including the restaurants, but unfortunately the only bad experience was with Co ranch house! It ruined our day. We were so excited to try the food that we waited 30 minutes walking around in the cold, ended up leaving...
