I have never felt the need to leave a review before, but this experience was just so disappointing that I had to share. As a local I have heard mixed reviews about Local On Cooper, even some really great reviews, but my boyfriend and I decided to give it a shot anyway today, September 6th 2021. We ordered through the app KraveKar and did not specify any sort of vegan, gluten free or vegetarian options, just easy and regular pizza. We also ordered two large coffees. We received the saddest looking pizza I have ever seen in my life, soggy just like reviews before our own, and realized that it was missing some of the toppings and didn’t match the pictures from other reviews - it was vegan and gluten free. I wish I had taken a picture of them before we tossed them out, the pictures here are of our replacements. We also got small coffees instead of the larges we ordered. We called and spoke to a manager who offered to remake the pizzas and coffee and have them sent to our home again, after she told me I received exactly what I ordered and tried to tell me I was wrong. We were hoping to get a refund but the manager who spoke with us spent most of the time talking over us and wouldn’t let me get a word in. So we ended up getting our food again to avoid any further conflict… and honestly the crust feels like that of a lunchables. It was so soft and chewy in the worst way. The sauce on the margarita pizza was the only redeeming part about it. We both took one bite of the whistle pig and it was, again, disappointing and went right in the trash. How can a slice with arugula, bacon and tomatoes taste so bland? Our coffee was right this time so I guess that’s nice. I appreciate the manager trying to make things right but it doesn’t change that fact that the pizza was honestly really bad and she clearly didn’t care to hear what I wanted as a person who just spent $50 on the product she was serving. I am so disappointed and I would absolutely recommend that if you want pizza you skip right on over to Za, Uncles or Russos as this isn’t even close to the mark. I would call and ask for a refund but they closed at 3, before we even received our...

Like the other reviews, be prepared to wait for a very long time to be served. The girl who took our order had large bandages over her nose (not that we cared just want the owner to be aware of who she is) we asked for pizza she said they were out then we asked for espresso and said she she was out of beans, then we watched as she served 4 other tables latte and other espresso drinks. Race and ethnicity mattered to her because the white gentleman next to us tried to order coffee and she said they were out. And then we watched as she poured 3 more coffees to other tables who came in after us but who were Spanish speaking like her. Very disappointing to go to a coffee shop and not be able to order coffee. Wish we wouldn’t have tipped up front because the service was so poor. I’ve never experienced anything so blatantly racist. Will not return. The food was very expensive and the Mexican omelet was cold, overcooked and did not have the ingredients that were listed on the menu and we were given French fries instead of potatoes like the menu said. We did order French fries ($3.00 extra) with a sandwich but she brought chips, so I had to ask for the French fries we ordered. Would not recommend going to this place. How do you own a coffee shop and not serve coffee or coffee drinks...

Not super great experience:

Staff: friendly and kind enough.

Service: awful. One plate came out AFTER both others had finished eating. They did not adequately compensate for the late food or for the fact that it was awful.

Food: hit or miss. Breakfast croissant sandwich good. Breakfast pizza awful.

Drink: spiced chai was delicious. Latte was okay.

Cost: ridiculous. $73 for breakfast for 3.

Staff was friendly enough. However, they didn’t make the experience right after they messed up pretty big.

I had a party of three. The first two ordered egg croissant sandwiches which were incredible. I ordered one of the breakfast pizzas.

My food came out after both others in my party had finished eating. The breakfast pizza itself was tasteless and I had to dump hot sauce and pepper on it to give it flavor.

I decided to just order a breakfast sandwich to go. They should have given me the sandwich and removed the charge of the pizza. They discounted the pizza half off and charged me full price for my food replacement.

Atmosphere was pretty, but that doesn’t make up for the quality of service, even if they were friendly. Actions are louder than words.

Overall, I would try something...

The atmosphere for this little town is lovely, and we wanted to try a non-chain restaurant for our last breakfast before heading home. I ordered a smokey pizette ($17) with smoked salmon and a poached egg in the middle, and we quickly noticed the crust was a bit soft toward the center of the pizza. Each slice was unfortunately dripping in salmon + cheese juice that I just kind of blotted away with my napkin because I was famished, and then I noticed that part of the egg was raw egg after eating a couple of slices. We politely let the servers know who were very apologetic and offered us some free pastries in a to-go box, which was nice of them. Unfortunately, when I decided to try a pastry on our walk around the town after leaving, I found that the raspberries were full of mold after taking a bite. :( I should have checked the pastry more thoroughly after the pizette incident, so I suppose that's partially on me if I get sick. 🙄 Flukes and accidents happen, but the same happened to my friend's Sancho pizette at the same table, so repeated instances of poor food quality is simply not acceptable.
