If I could give this place a review it would be 0. I hadn’t been there since Steve and Ray owned it. Which by the way they did a way better job at management and customer service than Brandi. I chose to give it a shot today and I know now I will never be back after today. I ordered a pizza TO GO. In the midst of waiting, my son spilled a bit of soda on the counter. He cleaned up the spill but dropped 1 napkin on the ground. Had I seen the napkin I would’ve picked it up but I was preoccupied getting the condiments I wasn’t give and are not accessible. She proceeded to mumble while picking up the 1 clean napkin he dropped “control your child” . Very inappropriate. My son heard her mumble. As much as I tried to ignore it I proceeded to let her that some children have a learning disability and the person that needs to control themselves was her and her rude comment. I asked for the owners information and let her know that I would be reporting her and she gave me the wrong contact information for Emily ( the owner) and unfortunately now I can’t express the treatment I received from Brandi (the manager). She continued to scream at me from across the restaurant that I wasn’t watching my child and I was too preoccupied on my phone. I am in disbelief and shock by Brandi’s inconsiderate and sense of authority to speak and treat customers this way. I will not be back and I will not recommend any one to go to Russos Pizza in Glenwood . This restaurant is listed as family friendly but it far from friendly. I do not recommend anyone to take their children here especially if they have a disability. She lacks management and customer service skills and empathy. It is by far the worst experience I’ve ever encountered. I am a local and own local businesses of my own and I would never treat anyone the way Brandi treated me and my son today. My son overheard her bashing me over and over again along with all other customers in the restaurant while she chased me out. I do not expect special treatment but she does need more training and skills in order to provide better service. She is chasing people away and this company will lose business. I will not be back as long as she is a...
Read moreStopped here on my way home from denver, and holy sheets am I amazed at the fact this place has a 4.2☆. Like I don't believe it, I ordered a calzone, figured that's a pretty simple order, should be quick. Boy was I wrong, 45 min wait later it finally comes out, I was surprised as seeing the place was dead, they had one 2-top and a 3-top out on the patio (of which both parties already had their food) and a to-go order that had called in before hand waiting inside with me. I'm guessing my order took so long cuz of from what I could tell the only 3 people working tonight were girls and quite the chatty cathys and seemed more interested in gossip than work, but I'll stop here and move onto my food, when I cracked my box open to see exactly what it was that I had got I was appalled, maybe it's cuz I'm from chicago, and we know how to do pizza and the like. but I would not call what I got a calzone. Essentially all it was was a pizza with half its toppings and then the other half folded over on itself, and flat with like what I'd say was a dozen thin slices of pepperoni sized Canadian bacon and probably 2 and a half slices of pinapple. Imo this place needs a refresher on their menu items, a calzone should optimally about 7-10 inches in diameter and packed to the gills with ingredients, till the suckers like 2-3 inches thick, not flat as a board with no toppings and the size of half a large pizza. I understand now why this place wasn't bumping for it being a Saturday night, chilies down the road will get you more bang for your buck. Oh yeah, and their bathroom are horribly designed, good thing I didn't need to take a shirt cuz I would have had to sit on the toilet sideways cuz the damn thing was so close to the wall with the Tp dispenser literally inches from the toilet seat. Hell the crapper alone gets this place a 1 star, the rest is just to save you all from regurting your...
Read moreGood Pizza, but Questionable Fee Practices Review: I usually make a point to stop at Russos when passing through Glenwood Springs. Their pizza is consistently good, and I've always enjoyed my meals there. However, my recent visit left me with a bit of a sour taste, and not from the food. After receiving my receipt, I noticed a "PIF" fee (Public Improvement Fee) of $0.50 added to my bill. I was never informed about this fee beforehand, nor was I asked for my authorization to add it. Small Amount, Big Principle: Even though $0.50 is a small amount, the principle is important. Customers should not be surprised by fees added to their bills. Transparency is crucial in any business, and this felt like a sneaky way to add an extra charge. While I appreciate the quality of the food here, I'm disappointed by this lack of transparency. It's not good business practice, and frankly, it's not ethical. I hope the management will reconsider their policy on informing customers about such fees in the future. I'll think twice before stopping by again, which is a shame because I really do like...
