We have been going since this place first started with the ride up. There was nothing but the caves. Over the yrs, we have gone up. There is so much up there now! This last time was a blast.
The boys got to ride some of the rides.. the lines are getting long fast, and the alpine coaster took 45 min just to get through.
We ate up here, and the grilled cheese was gross, and the burger was okay. The fries were the best my boys said.
If were paying 60-70$ i would hope pictures they take would be 5$ not 20$! To pan for stuff was 7-20$ i believe. That's crazy. The shooting game is .50 a piece and you barely get 3 seconds of play time.
Also we paid 5$ for a locker, then as we walked by the coasters they had free ones. I was frustrated , why would they charge for some and bot for others.. grr
People we have spoken to about the adventure park think they should have a family rides pass. For kids that are small or are scared to ride the big rides. I think that is a great idea. Spending 60-70$ for five family rides is crazy to me.
The workers there were very nice and polite, they let me run and get pictures before the ride started and some even took the picture for us.. You sure can kill a bank account up here. We spent about 350$ or more for a family of 3 boys (11,15,15 yr olds) and a parent. Other then the money monster. We had...
Read moreDisappointed that parking that used to be free is now 10 bucks. Free parking is available if you want to walk a ways. Inflation has hit everyone but a 10 percent discount for seniors off their all inclusive $69 helped some. Now for the good parts. Their Defiance rollercoaster is a must for thrill seekers. It is a short less than a minute ride but every second fulfilled that want of a thrill. Climbing to where gravity takes over is straight up! The first drop is not 90 degrees but more, then it is off to helixes, twists and turns with no time to admire the views of Glennwood Springs below. This year I got up the courage to get on their Canyon Swing. Swinging from looking straight up to the 1800 feet to the canyon below did take my breath away. As always the Alpine slide is worth riding as many times as you can manage. Our middle of September visit saw no wait lines and...
Read moreI really wanted to give this a 3 but the Manager on Duty made the lack luster experience better with a partial refund. Online and when you are at the park it says all attractions are open but what they don't say is that they only have enough staff to run half the rides at a time. So they close down certain rides so they can open others and if you aren't lucky and don't plan just right, you won't have the opportunity to do all of the attractions. Would highly recommend the cave tours, our guide was Khloe and she was quite entertaining and informative. The Defiance coaster was also a great, albeit quick thrill. The littlest member of our crew got the short end of the deal as he was only able to ride Giddy up and do the Alpine Coaster because nothing else was open he could ride. This place has great potential but...
