Buck's Barbeque — Restaurant in Goodlettsville

So I’m pretty sure about 2 & 1/2-3 years ago I ate here while visiting and looking for houses (we were in the midst of figuring where in the area we wanted to move when we got out here) I happened upon this place and thought, “eh, I’ll give it a try. And whatever I don’t like my 85lb bulldog will eat for me so nothing goes to waste! Anyways, I ordered the chicken meal with okra, beans, and of course chicken. When I got my way overpriced food, they had given me a small ranch sized container with barbq sauce in it and then I realized the chicken was SHREDDED (DO NOT CALL IT PULLED! I’ve never heard of pulled chicken, only pulled pork. It was straight shredded chicken!!!) and I was like WTH? Is this? NEVER in my life have I seen a place call that bar bq’ed. Well I still gave it a chance. The chicken was dry as can be (even the sauce couldn’t help it!), the okra tasted like cardboard too, and how you mess up beans I’ll never know. I took maybe 3 bites of it and tried to at least give my dog the chicken. Guess what?….. he sniffed it, turned his head up at it and wouldn’t touch the chicken! Now that’s bad, because usually he doesn’t get chicken because it makes him itch, but I felt guilty because he’d been in the car so long and been such a good boy! I thought whatever I’ll let him cheat since we’re away from home. But, nope! He wouldn’t touch it with a 10 ft pole!!! lol! Poor guy. Anyway, I know that was long but it’s the only way to REALLY explain how incredibly bad this place is and it’s not by any means cheap! Not even reasonably priced!!! Stay away and go with Macdonalds instead. That’s saying a lot...

Hands down absolutely best barbecue place ever! If you have not tried this place you are missing out. Let me first off by saying their barbecue nachos are the best I've found in and around Nashville! I believe this is in part because they make their own queso sauce and they make their own tortilla chips. My whole family loves their food even the picky eater kids that come over that are my sons friends. Also if you haven't tried their fruit tea it is delicious. The barbecue is great the baked potatoes are great all their sides just everything about this restaurant you will love but I've tried everything on the menu and I can certify that everything is delicious it's fresh and they are the nicest people. What are you waiting for go get some Buck's barbecue...

Drive through order last evening a few cars in front of me. There was a guy taking orders in the line. Ordered loaded potato and a bbq sandwich with a side of Mac n cheese. Asked for think sause mild. Asked for a few extra because the loaded potato is big. Got to the window and conferm the order and asked for the same extra sause again just to be sure. Get order drive to a spot in the lot just to check and just a small sause for potato and another for the sandwich. Went inside and asked for a couple more and the young kid made me pay with my card again for the sause. The food is pretty good but the kid working the window has no people skills.
