Here's a positive review for "Heidi Haus":

A Delightful Taste of Poland in the Heart of Helen – Heidi Haus

If you’re craving authentic Polish cuisine with a cozy, welcoming vibe, Heidi Haus in Helen, Georgia, is the place to be. From the moment you walk in, you’re greeted with the warm, rustic charm of an alpine chalet, making it feel like you’ve stepped into a European getaway.

The menu is a true celebration of Polish flavors, with every dish crafted to perfection. The pierogies are soft, buttery, and filled with deliciousness that melts in your mouth—definitely a must-try! The hearty bigos, Poland's national dish, is full of smoky, savory goodness, perfect for anyone looking for comfort food with depth. And don’t miss out on the kielbasa—grilled to perfection and served with tangy sauerkraut that balances each bite.

The portions are generous, the service is friendly, and the atmosphere feels like a family gathering, making it the perfect spot for a relaxing meal. Whether you're a fan of Polish food or trying it for the first time, Heidi Haus delivers an unforgettable experience in a setting as charming as the food is delicious.

Highly...

We went on a Saturday before New Year’s – so they had a limited menu. It’s completely understandable though because this area gets really busy over the holidays. I would love to come back and try some other other things, nonetheless we absolutely loved our food! I had the threepeat sausage, my wife had the pierogi with sausage, our friend had the chicken schnitzel. Everything tasted amazing. We had been coming to Helen for a few years and had never tried this place. We immediately regretted not having come here sooner and more often. Everything was so flavorful! Our waitress was really nice and patiently explained all the dishes to us. Our friend had dietary restrictions which meant she couldn’t eat pork and our waitress helped us navigate that and make sure that she still got a delicious meal. We are adding this to our list of places that we have to visit when we...

I was with Don Sowers for the horrible lunch we had. It was obviously reheated, the servings were very small , another party of 4 seated after us where served prior to us. ( We had no issues with any of the other restaurants in the area) There was no bottled watered and the staff didn't offer tap until after we had our meals. The waitress was rude and told multiple customer's she was new , if that is true then your a losey owner to leave her alone on what she said was her first day. Your response is also rude. I don't know who you are referring to as a Karen except yourself considering how your spoke to a customer. As far as meeting the Polish...was that a threat? I really hope for your sake it was not. Dont think your bully ways will scare anyone. I'm so glad u posted that...so many people will now see what...

I specifically went to Helen, GA on a weekend while I was in Blairsville because Heidi Haus is only open on weekends. I was so disappointed when Heidi did not open at noon! I don't know what time they did open, but they were open as I was driving out of town, so I parked the car and got the combination platter to go. I am so glad I did! Heidi Haus was worth the drive, even for a Polish girl who was looking for good pierogis and kielbasa on Easter weekend. I'll be savoring the meal all weekend! The stuffed cabbage could use more seasoning, other than that, everything is delicious. (While waiting for the food, I learned that the server had called off. They opened late because the server who came in had to drive from Blairsville.)

HOUSE OF SAD PEROGI. If my Babcia were still here she would be disappointed. We managed to find the ONLY Polish establishment in a German Town and then Waited a hour for food. A group of 4 that was seated about 30 minutes AFTER us all got their meals first. When we asked when we would have our food. The waitress told us ours would be next with a little bit of attitude in her voice. The portions were small for the price. $55 dollars for two plates a 12oz beer. The kraut was only enough to fit on a single fork. We could tell some of the kielbasa had been allowed to cool down and then reheated. And I get that its Oktoberfest and tourist season with high traffic and all, but geez.

Naturally, sharing the same name with the establishment, I had to give it a try! It's a small cafe/restaurant located above one of the souvenir shops in the heart of Helen. I ordered the pierogis, sausage and the Jäger schnitzel, which were all made to order. You can hear the chef pounding the pork in the kitchen so it doesn't get fresher than that! Everything was delicious, fresh and appropriately portioned. When the owner found out my name was Heidi, he gave me a free beer, which was very nice of him. We spoke to the owner (who is also the chef) who gave us a background on where's from and how he came to plant roots in this adorable German town. 5 stars all around!
