Donut king Waikiki — Restaurant in Honolulu

Simple no-frill donut action with a nice selection served up quickly with a smile, this is an amazing spot for a morning sugar rush! My wife and I visited here several times during our stay on Waikiki just on the other side of the mall.

(They also make some nice lattes should the line for Kona across the street be a little long for you.)

Highlight of the whole menu: the ube donut. I decided to go for it because I’d never tried anything like it and its name was fun to say. I was pleasantly surprised by how delicious it is! Of the ones we tried, their maple bacon donut takes second place.

Should you be staying anywhere along Waikiki, I can’t recommend this unassuming...

Stood in the long line across the street like a sheep for average coffee and saw this place, took two days before I decided to try it and WOW was I sorry I waited! The bacon egg and cheese croissant was delicious and the iced coffee was so much more enjoyable than the coffee I waited in line for across the street! So good in fact, I read the reviews and HAD to go right back a minute later for the donut that was lighter than a pillow, so soft, people were taking notice of my reactions while I was eating lol. No wait, great staff, and perfect food and drinks. Silly to skip this spot if you are a sweets/coffee/quick breakfast person! Gonna try the fruit frappes...

I come from Colorado, where we have what's called "Voodoo" donuts. They are very creative but lack the fresh taste and excellent customer service Donut King has to offer. My girlfriend has a peanut allergy, so we have to be VERY careful. If there is any peanut anywhere in this kind of establishment, we can not eat. Fortunately, we were pleasantly surprised to find there are no peanuts used in this shop, which is no where to be found in Colorado. I saw them making fresh dough, and above all, I experienced the most welcoming and understanding here staff here. Will go back if I'm in the area.
