This is a great little place set inside a small food hall, with lots of tables and coverage in case itâs hot or rainy.
The service was fast and friendly, they are a small operation so you have to be a little patient, but theyâre very attentive and try to manage the weight without ignoring customers. I was definitely impressed that multiple times they try to give us an update on they would be with us and Made us feel like weâre being ignored. And once we ordered, the food was done fairly quickly.
Our food was prepared, exactly how we requested it, and one of my traveling partners doesnât eat pork, so she was thrilled that there was very tasty turkey bacon (not pictured)
The food options were fairly wide for a breakfast place.
I felt proportion sizes were actually fairly good for the amount you pay, especially in Hawaii.
The fact that this is LGBTQ+ owned is a bonus.
A couple of notes: since the staff and space is relatively small, they essentially work on one or two groups of orders at a time, so just be patient.
We are visiting for six days, and we are sad that our last morning is Tuesday, and they are closed on Tuesdays. However, we will be back as much as we can.
Highly recommended is the Hawaiian Roll French...
Read moreI researched places to eat before our vacation. Food in Hawaii is very expensive. So I was pleasantly surprised, and a bit apprehensive, when I saw Happy's was reasonably priced. Would the food be good?
I shouldn't have been concerned at all.
Happy's is located in the Hale Koa complex. It's a small building with a few outdoor tables. It's cafeteria style. They have specials every day. Most days we went in for something to munch on, although one evening, we decided on the fried chicken.
Awesome choice! The chicken was golden brown and not a hint of oil. It was tender and juicy inside, crisp on the outside. Perfection! The platter came with 3 pieces, macaroni salad and rice. It was enough for the 2 of us. That's how large the portions are. It was delicious. And it was only $13.
The staff was friendly and helpful. And pleasant. They truly live up...

We had the Kalua Pork Omelet plate with classic pancakes and the Meat Loverâs Omelet with upgraded ube pancakes topped with haupia-coconut sauceâSO âono and super satisfying!
Loved that they serve everything on real plates with real utensilsâmakes it feel like home, not a takeout picnic.
Big shoutout to the awesome owners Pablo and Ryan, and their super friendly assistant (sorry I missed your name!) for the warm, welcoming service.
Next time Iâm definitely trying the Loco Mocoâthe photo alone had my mouth watering.
