Heads & Tails Distillery — Local services in Idaho Falls

Hit Heads & Tails on a recent work visit to Idaho Falls. Really cool spot, surprisingly so. We were in on a Friday evening and things were very chill, mainly employees and about 6-10 baby boomer era people hanging out.

2x bars service the place, 1 downstairs and 1 upstairs. The rooftop area is awesome. Nice place to relax and just enjoy the evening.

Cocktail menu is full of pretty standard things, but I enjoy that and would rather have a menu of classics than a menu where a hipster bartender tosses everything trendy in a Boston shaker and now brands themself a "mixologist".

We enjoyed a Manhattan and an Aviation, both were as good or better than I could have hoped for.

Gonna be interesting when IF gets cold. Not a ton of seating downstairs; concrete floors, coupe glasses and standing room only don't mix well. I'd grab a cushy seat away from the bar and stake my claim for the night.

Service was fine, probably needs some time to iron out the kinks; but that is no reason to knock them.

I wish there was somebody there that could have answered a couple questions about the beautiful still and what they plan to do with it. Hope they make some whiskeys with local ingredients; would be very cool to make some rye or single malts with grain from...

It was St. Patty's Day. A group of us went in. A friend and I went up to the bar to get a drink. He ordered and the female bartender started making a drink for him. Then 3 ladies started talking to the bartender and didn't come back to us so I told my friend she must of forgot us. Immediately she looks towards us and said no I didn't. She made the other ladies 2 drinks and came back to us. I asked her for my drink and she said that she wasn't going to serve me. That I was too drunk. I walked away and told our group what had happened so another friend got me a drink . We didn't stay but a half an hour and left. The night had just begun for our partying so no one was drunk yet. It's pretty sad when the female bartender can just refuse service for me because of what I said to my friend. Yes Heads &Tails is a nice place inside but the bartender shouldn't make our visit not worth staying. They lost money from a group of 13. I give a review of 1. The owners should take a look at their bartender and realize what an impact...

I was very disappointed with my experience here tonight. The drinks were watered down, no one checked on us after our first round of drinks, and I didn’t get my drink when everyone else did during the first round. Someone else in our party had to go up to the bar and ask for me after a long time of waiting in case they were still working on it (but they weren’t really even that busy). Even after that, it took a long time to get my drink. We were about to get up and ask for the bill after such a long time had passed when the bar tender came with my drink—a little too late. Our party discussed this experience shortly afterwards and unanimously agreed that the drinks were underwhelming and the service was extraordinarily slow for the number of people in...
